Paul has best showing yet, in Idaho

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor May 28, 2008 11:06 AM

John McCain has the Republican nomination wrapped up, but Ron Paul isn't going anywhere.

In fact, in Tuesday's little-noticed Republican primary in Idaho, the iconoclastic Texas congressman had his best showing so far, grabbing 24 percent of the vote, nearly 30,000 votes in all.

McCain won with 70 percent, while the other 6 percent went to uncommitted.

Paul's showing came despite making only one campaign stop in the state. "Dr. Paul’s grassroots supporters in Idaho and across the country are doing a tremendous job spreading our message, winning votes and laying a strong foundation for the future," campaign spokesman Jesse Benton said in a statement.

Paul's supporters have been making waves in state GOP conventions, hoping to secure a speaking role for him, plus a say on the party platform, at the national convention in September.

Nick, did you vote in Idaho? Well I did, there were two sides to the ballot one for democrats and one for republicans. It was an open primary so at the booth you could pick to vote for either party. Get your facts straight before you spout off.

Ron Paul is our only hope to stop liberal Hillary, liberal Obama, and liberal McCain! We need to drastically educate the people around us on why the growth of government is only going to harm our liberty, prosperity, and peaceful nature of freedom. Our founding fathers would be disgusted at the scope of government. Jefferson is truly turning over in his grave and most people don't even understand why.

It didn't surprise me that this Primary wasn't covered by the major networks, it would have embarrassed McCain even more so. It's awesome that 1 out 4 voters in Idaho do not support the presumptive nominee, and chose to vote for Our Constitution, they voted for Ron Paul. The September Convention should be very interesting, especially now that one of George Bush's ex-press speaker has written a book explaining the Propaganda surrounding Iraq, and how the White house sold the American citizens and Congress a pack of lies in order to attack Iraq. The chickens are coming home to roost for Bush, and his buddy McCain who wants to continue the warmongering, and it cannot come at a better time.

Foon Rhee, thanks for the post. After following Ron Paul for many years I still contend that this is biggest unreported story of the presidential election. I pray and hope that voting citizens will take 20 minutes of their life and go to the internet and discover why.

It's interesting and encouraging that, as time goes on and people get closer looks at the "front runners" with their lies, their inconsistencies, flip-flopping and mis-speaking, Ron Paul keeps looking better and better.

Ron Paul understands that the Fed Reserve is running our country into the ground. These idiots that are running the Fed Reserve are making us slaves to the system. It is time for America to wake up to the facts. Most are asleep and need to wake up. Our Congress has secretly created a bill that will now make us have National ID's which is totally against the Constitution. Our Constitutional rights need to be saved before it is too late. Not only are they working to get this New World Order in place but they are creating crisis to do it.

JFK knew this. This secret society exist when JFK was in office and it still exist today. Listen to Obama's speech when he talks of making this world a new. Listen to Clinton's speeches when he speaks of the New World Order. Listen to Bush JR. and Bush SR. speeches talk of this New World Order. It goes back further, but the one evil person that speaks of it and he is behind the Fed Reserve is Rockerfeller. Do some research people.

Why does Rockerfeller have so much to do with our government? We need to abolish the Federal Reserve.

"We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost forty years. It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years. But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite and world bankers is surely preferable to the national auto-determination practiced in past centuries."
David Rockefeller Baden-Baden, Germany 1991

"In this sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property."
Karl Marx and Frederich Engels The Communist Manifesto 1888 edition

"1. Abolition of property in land and application of all rents of land to public purposes."
"3. Abolition of all right of inheritance."
"7. Extension of factories and instruments of production owned by the State; the bringing into cultivation of waste-lands, and the improvement of the soil generally in accordance with a common plan."

I still can't believe that the national media has been able to get away with refusing to report Ron Paul's campaign. He has held rallies all over the country to packed audiences, but with almost 0 media coverage. How well would the other 3 be doing if the media had not followed them around? It's a disgrace to our country, and people should be mad about it, no matter who you support.

I voted for Ron Paul yesterday and was very proud to hear that he had his best showing ever!! I believe that if more people in Idaho were educated properly about Ron Paul, they would be very happy to vote for him. But with the media acting like he is either not their or a Libertarian acting like a Republican this is pretty hard. People also need to understand that republicans and libertarian are not mutually exclusive, you can be both. Many Republican roots have ties with Libertarian concepts.

As for the total votes, Yes Paul had more votes then Obama or Hillary but it is also true that the democratic Caucus is binding for the presidential candidates selections. There were two sides to the ballot and the democrats could choose there candidates for many other positions, but the presidential vote was not binding and did not mean very much.

In regards to Andy's statement about moving to Idaho, We would love to have you. It is a beautiful state, and a wonderful place to live. Not to mention we have a great football team...." Go Boise State"

Knowledge is a powerful tool. Freedom is an even more powerful tool Together they can NOT be stopped!

We are steadfast in "kindling" the fires of the Revolution. If you haven't read "The Revolution-A Manisfesto" by Ron Paul....beg, borrow, or steal a copy. READ IT.

Our government can only stifle those that they can threaten with fear but I believe that JFK's message still holds today, "My fellow citizens of the world: ask not what America will do for you, but what together we can do for the freedom of man". This means that we have to do away with our petty differences and come together as a people with a common cause. That means unite as freedom fighters.

Together we can make a difference. If Ron Paul has the guts to fight this corrupted government then we should back him. Even if Ron Paul does not make it as president he has a large following of people that has opened their eyes to the truth of what our government is all about. We are no longer asleep.

Congress be ready for a recall. Do the people of this United States justice by upholding the Constitution and this is your duty.

Your reliance on the Federal Reserve's money making is going to come to an end. It is time for a REVOLUTION.

RON PAUL is the only viable candidate. The only candidate that has a plausible plan. Throwing rebate checks at us like we are welfare recipients is a slap in the face. Telling the American people to continue to spend is irresponsible leadership. This is a do as I do policy. Congressional spending is what helped devalue our dollar. This is unacceptable and irresponsible.

Let us then turn this government back into the channel in which the framers of the Constitution originally placed it.
--July 10, 1858 Speech at Chicago

I have borne a laborious, and, in some respects to myself, a painful part in the contest. Through all, I have neither assailed, nor wrestled with any part of the constitution.
--October 30, 1858 Speech at Springfield

Don't interfere with anything in the Constitution. That must be maintained, for it is the only safeguard of our liberties. And not to Democrats alone do I make this appeal, but to all who love these great and true principles.
--August 27, 1856 Speech at Kalamazoo, Michigan

I am exceedingly anxious that this Union, the Constitution, and the liberties of the people shall be perpetuated in accordance with the original idea for which that struggle was made, and I shall be most happy indeed if I shall be an humble instrument in the hands of the Almighty, and of this, his almost chosen people, for perpetuating the object of that great struggle.
--February 21, 1861 Speech to the New Jersey Senate

As I would not be a slave, so I would not be a master. This expresses my idea of democracy. Whatever differs from this, to the extent of the difference, is no democracy.
--ca. August 1, 1858 Fragment on Democracy

Let every American, every lover of liberty, every well wisher to his posterity, swear by the blood of the Revolution, never to violate in the least particular, the laws of the country; and never to tolerate their violation by others.
--January 27, 1838 Lyceum Address

RON PAUL is a great American hero. Even with my eyes closed I can still see, however, I see so much more now with them wide open. Thanks for opening my eyes and widening my window of reference.

Did you know that Ron Paul's new book "The Revolution - A Manifesto" was #7 on the New York Times best sellers list on Sunday May 25? Way to go. We can change the world if we have no fear. The American Revolution that freed us from the King of England was supported by a minority. The majority of colonists were Loyalists. Just think of what a minority of unafraid people can do.

Some members of the press are gonna probably want to start preparing an explanation of why they kept reporting McCain had 'secured', 'wrapped up' and/or 'insert word that means there's technically no way McCain can lose the nomination' to the millions of readers nationally and internationally who are keeping track of this election via these 'news' resources.

This is shaping up to be the story you will be reporting on big time in September... might want to dig deep and protect your reputations as news reporters? Save your own butts kinda thing... if your superiors are giving you inaccurate info to report, it's going to be on your name and if you're on tv, your face - you and your reputation gets tarnished, not your superior's - be courageous. Do some investigating into what could possibly and potentially happen.

Television and newspaper and online media resources might want to hone up on how and what exactly takes place during a Republican Convention... investigate if it's ever happened before, perhaps, some 'presumptive' (google the definition of that word) nominee didn't end up getting the nomination.

This way, you can start your spin machines early and start talking about, well, the facts and sound like intelligent, fact-based reporters... think about what will happen in September if this article's wording is wrong... via various screen shots of articles like these and the words "McCain has the nomination wrapped up" with Foon Reeh as 'deputy national political editor' probably in big font with a text question along the lines of "If a 'deputy' national political editor didn't know how the Republican Convention works, where online can we get news with people who actually hone up and know about how the process works?" probably with a beautiful Bach concerto playing as background music for the 2 minute youtube spot, or, with it being youtube and all, it could be some Rage Against the Machine. Ouch, right?

The kids of today are not going to buy your newspapers or click your links... if you try to 'own' them. They don't like to be owned. They get freaked about being Rick Rolled - it's a different market and audience. They've learned out here not to even trust a link without checking to make sure the info is accurate and they don't get tubgirled or goatsed - you think they are gonna take kindly to be suckered outta freedom and liberty? You might think Obama got them 'wrapped up', too, I bet... think again. They are researching. Reading. Listening. They want the truth this time... and they've got spring, summer and autumn to get it. Are you going to give them the facts?

Remember... although Ron Paul has received just a bit over 1 million votes, that is only a small fraction of the number of people watching his journey this election and paying close (and closer still, thanks for this wonderful addition to articles to be linked to) attention to how the news media outlets are reporting it - you'd sorta primed the path for this distrust in media with what you all did with Iraq, mind you ... feeding the public what you were told, instead of doing any investigating on your own, finding out the facts, or simply turning to the Constitution(s) of the states and federal governments for how the process is supposed to function.

Saved videos of tv reports and articles like this will instantly get youtubed to show the world, loud and clear, the amount of deception, ignorance and/or blatant misinformation 'reported' throughout this election season... if Ron Paul does the 'impossible' as you consider it - your news hits will be tremendous at first ... for about a week. Then, you will see a steep decline - the trust of the people permanently lost. Don't you get it? You are all doing yourselves a disservice! Not just to yourselves, not just to your company, not just to your readers... to this country and, by proxy, the world ... because what happens over here very much has an impact everywhere else. The media definitely played a role in Iraq - and you really, really need to think about how you were misled then and how you are being, either willingly or unwillingly, misled now.

I beg of deputy national potltical editor Foon Reeh to research this story more and do a follow up once the process is fully comprehended - is it at all possible for a 'presumptive' nominee not to get the nomination... let's do this all in the sunshine, eh? Let's open it up and reveal the process and let's have some integrity in reporting rather than another manipulation of the masses "Ron Paul can't win the nomination!" or, worse, ignorance on a subject leading to quite a journalistic and deputy national political editor's embarrassment.

Are you concerned about the hope it might cause? Are you concerned about people reading their state and federal Constitutions and making logical, compassionate decisions about the role of government as well as the role of themselves, as a people, as communities? Are you concerned it might make it more possible for Ron Paul to win the election... but if his ideas are so 'crazy' and 'wrong', ask yourselves this... in a "democracy" which you keep reporting we are (we're not, we're a republic), isn't it majority rule and if the majority do want Ron Paul, wouldn't his election abide by the ideas you believe about democracy?

Hey... if you fine folks over at Boston.com don't want this biting little comment to be seen by your viewing public, I'll understand... I am a bit edgy - but I sure hope you read every word of it for yourselves and pass it along to the deputy. It's his reputation at stake here - don't let the poor guy go down in flames this September,

Censor it if you want as a comment... but just make sure you hand this batch of suggestions to the person I actually and sincerely feel some compassion towards, as I would anyone I saw making a horrible mistake in their profession.

It took a lot of work, I'm sure, to get the title of deputy national political editor... the wrapping up doesn't happen until the September Convention, Mr. Reeh. Words are very important - and even more important when humans lives, freedom and liberty are at stake.

Those who expect to reap the benefits of freedom, must, like men, undergo the fatigue of supporting it. – Thomas Paine

The preservation of the sacred fire of liberty, and the destiny of the Republican model of government, are justly considered as deeply, perhaps as finally staked, on the experiment entrusted to the hands of the American people. – George Washington

God grants liberty only to those who love it, and are always ready to guard and defend it. – Daniel Webster (1834)

The Constitution is not an instrument for the government to restrain the people, it is an instrument for the people to restrain the government – lest it come to dominate our lives and interests. – Patrick Henry

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. – Thomas Jefferson

The course of history shows that as a government grows, liberty decreases. – Thomas Jefferson

The time for America to wake up and see what its leadership has done to dwindle our freedoms is NOW.

The only way to change the political system is to change its members. Let us take this power of skull and bones out of the political arena forever. Corruption belongs in the hell that created it.

Ron Paul is the only viable candidate with a resume filled with nothing but his own merits. He has stood up against the very thing, Fed Reserve, that has created such crisis in our economy. Who else has had the guts to do such a thing?

I stand with Ron Paul for the simple matter that he is a man of integrity. The media which is owned by big money wants a puppet in office and this is why they will not cover the election fairly. Is it that the president has already been chosen?

McCain, Obama, and Clinton have stated nothing in regards to how they are going to fix this economic disaster created by Congressional spending. Bush pushed a bill to pass onto us a REBATE check. This is irresponsible and a contribution to furthering our economic problem. Spend he says. This is where the problem lies. This economy is a direct reflection of our leadership whether you want to accept this fact or not. That rebate check should be saved for more inflationary times. I find it insulting that our gov't hands out welfare checks in the form of a rebate check to help stimulate the economy when in essence it contributes to the debt of this country. The more Congress spends creates more money in our money supply which continues to weaken our dollar. Question why they are doing this!!! The USA is BROKE.

The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not. – Thomas Jefferson

Democracies have been found incompatible with personal security or the rights of property; and in general have been as short in their lives as they have been violent in their death. – James Madison

In a republican nation whose citizens are to be led by reason and persuasion and not by force, the art of reasoning becomes of first importance. – Thomas Jefferson, 1824

When did this country become a democracy? I stand for the republic for which it stands one nation under God. Remember the Pledge of Allegiance?

I pledge allegiance to the Flag
of the United States of America,
and to the Republic for which it stands:
one Nation under God, indivisible,
With Liberty and Justice for all.

I pledge my loyalty to the Government that is itself a Republic, a form of government where the PEOPLE are sovereign.

What ever happened to that republic? Oh yes, it changed to a democracy.

Remember, democracy never lasts long. It soon wastes, exhausts, and murders itself. There never was a democracy yet that did not commit suicide. – John Adams (1814)

What will be contrived next is the big question? Are we going to go to war with Iran before the election? Or perhaps another chaotic fiasco will happen here at the hands of those behind the political curtain? Who is benefiting from this conflict in Iraq? I call it a conflct because Congress never gave Bush a formal declaration of war, but war is war when there is an invasion of a country that did not attack us.

What do you tell yourselves, Congressional members, to sleep at night? Do you dream of those that lost their lives? How about the many that lost their limbs? What do you tell them? No, you don't say anything you CUT their benefits. You kick them out of the military because of the horrors they saw and say they were crazy before they joined. This is how you honor what you call the expendable.

I think they should change the rules of war. On the front line should be the president. If he declares it he should have the courage to stand with his men.

Diplomacy is accomplished by being diplomatic.

We need some true blooded patriots in office. My vote is for Ron Paul. He is the only candidate that understands that our viability in the global market depends on a diplomatic foreign policy. The only profiter in this war is the Federal Reserve.

When people speak to you about a preventive war, you tell them to go and fight it. After my experience, I have come to hate war.

I just listened to the video of a convention where the "leadership" read off names of delagates that did not win. They ignored numerous "call to order" calls, basically dictating who the delegates would be.

If they can do this at a state level, what do you think they will do at the national convention. I would encourage delagates to read the rules, print them, monitor closely the votes. Don't let them shut us out.

I was going to Write In Mitt Romney but they said it wouldn't count. So I just bit my lip and VOTED FOR RON PAUL.

I agree with 50% of what he says and I DISAGREE WITH 80% OF WHAT HIS CRAZY CONSPIRACY THEORIST SUPPORTERS SAY...YET...Sigh...I voted for him yesterday anyway.

So you Ron Paul Supporters out there better be nicer to me.

But as I told fellow Republicans yesterday me agreeing with half of what Paul says is WAY MORE THAN MOST OF WHAT MCCAIN SAYS.

Again many Republicans at the HEADQUARTERS IN IDAHO DID NOT SUPPORT MCCAIN. Quite frankly I'm suprised he even got 70%. Also Romney may have gotten 10,000 Write In Votes Yesterday.

I'm still just amazed that anyone would vote for Hillary Clinton for a number of obvious reasons; first: she has no experience. If that matters anymore. She's running on nothing more than being Bill Clinton's wife. So 8 years as first lady qualifies you now to lead the country? Make national decisions on fiscal and monetary policy? International policy? Commander in Chief??????? Has this country lost it's mind. Secondly: if she becomes president then this "democracy" will have been run by only 2 families in the last 32 years. The Bush's and the Clinton's. What a charade.
Ron Paul is the only one speaking about anything sensible and beneficial for the citizens of this country. He's the only true Republican. He's educated, intelligent, knowledgeable about who we are as a nation, where we came from and the vision that our founding fathers had for us. Our government has become exactly what this country was founded to escape.

Ron Paul is a closeted Libertarian. The "L" word strikes fear into the Republican party.

All of these candidates are members of the CFR except Ron Paul. They are selling our country right out from under us people. If security was the real issue then why would Dictator Bush allow foreign countries to buy our ports and toll ways? Why would he secretly create this North American Union? The time to act people is now.

And by the way, ask yourself why Bhutto announced a couple months before she died that Osama Bin Laden is DEAD? And why we have had no recent tapes or threats from him? However, whether true or not shouldn't our media have covered this? I mean the BBC covered it but edited it.

WAKE UP people.

Watch it for yourselves. Was this the reason for which she was silenced? I mean this means the war should be over.

Ron Paul can't help that his supporters, no matter how crazy they are, love freedom and want less gov't intervention and truly love their country! If you agree 100% with everything then you're brain is turned off! You do not have to have the same ideas as everyone. The gov't would like everyone to think the same. Of course, I'm just a "crazy conspiracy theorist", so what the heck would I know. Ron Paul 2008. I am not political expert by any means, but I know a fraud when I hear one and Mccain, Obama and Hillary are all frauds.

I am glad to know that I am not the only one who checks "Ron Paul" almost daily on Google News. We are fortunate to have such a resource, and I am happy to learn that Friends of Liberty are out there in this neo-con jungle. Do not become discouraged, fellow citizens, the call has been sounded, and many rally to answer. The enemies of freedom have been working long and hard in the shadows for decades, and only now has the light of day been shined on their foul plans. People have begun to awaken, and more will awaken every day. Ron Paul is not a messiah, he is merely a true statesman, and is not afraid to speak the truth so many of us see, but cannot get others to believe. Celebrate our victories, remember Rudy, over a year ago? That was the first time in my life I have felt pride in a politician. The rhetoric about 9-11 being an attack of "jealousy over our freedom" never added up to me, but I was still floating in the neo-con fog in 2001. The world has changed much since then, and I am glad I have changed as well. Unite, friends, the bell of Liberty has been rung, let it not grow silent again!

Whenever I see a reasonably "high" percentage of votes for Ron Paul in a primary (such as the 24% reported in Idaho) or a suspiciously "low" percentage, I do a little comparison research as to what sort of voting machines or methods that particular state utilizes.

I found it very interesting that 1/3 of the 44 counties in Idaho do not use electronic voting machines. That is to say, 15 counties use paper ballots, while the remaining counties use either punch cards or DRE opti-scans.

In Indiana, where it was reported that Ron Paul received a piddling 8% of the votes, it wasn't surprising, then, to discover that 100% of that state uses Diebold and DRE opti-scan machines (Direct-Recording Electronic, as in no paper trail).

In a "progressive" state like Pennsylvania, it was reported that Ron Paul received a surprisingly low 16% of the vote. Not surprising, then, that Pennsylvania voters only have access to 100% Diebold, ES&S and other touch-screen DRE machines. Same thing in California, where it was reported that Ron Paul only received 4% of the votes -- 100% Diebold DRE machines were used.

And if many of you wonder how McCain got even that many votes in Idaho, I'm willing to bet that a large percentage of those were reported in the counties that did not use paper ballots.

The bottom line? Paper ballots translate to higher percentage of votes for Ron Paul.

Freedom is popular. Ron Paul is popular. But only if paper ballots are used, will our votes be truly counted.

Idaho rules!

Too bad a liberal state like mine (CA) can't get their heads out of their butts and see the light. These Republican party loyal numb-numbs and liberal democrats are so brainwashed into thinking that there is a choice between CFR McCain't, CFR Clinton, and CFR Obama. They don't even know what the CFR is in the first place. They have no concept of the plan for globalism or what role David Rockefeller plays in the grand scheme of things. They have never heard of the Trilateral Commission, The Council on Foreign Relations, the Bilderberg group, the Royal Institute of International Affairs (aka Chatham House)..... they only see and think what the media tells them to. They are ignorant sheep being led astray.

I admire you all up there in Idaho. You got a good thing going. Don't let up. We will continue the fight for freedom and liberty as well. You are an inspiration to us all.

REVOLUTION!

March on Washington, D.C. ...... July 12th!

Dear Mrs. atwell:

Thank you for contacting me regarding the Real ID Act of 2005. I appreciate hearing from you, and I welcome the chance to respond.

In March of 2005, a Republican-led Congress attached the Real ID Act to a “must-pass” emergency supplemental bill that funded tsunami relief and military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. I am disappointed that such a controversial piece of legislation was forced through without a single hearing or substantive debate on the Senate floor. Real ID was promoted as an effort to strengthen security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses, but it raised serious privacy concerns by creating a de facto national ID card and requiring each state to connect to a national database that contains personal information on all drivers. On January 11, 2008, the Department of Homeland Security issued its final regulations regarding the implementation of the Real ID Act in an attempt to address such concerns. However, I still have very serious questions about this program - we must be careful not to create a system ripe for government misuse or a “one-stop shop” for ID theft.

I also believe the Real ID Act places a huge burden upon the state of Missouri. The bill was passed as an unfunded mandate, which means the states are provided no new funding to cover the billions of dollars needed to implement the bill’s requirements. On May 18, 2007, Missouri’s General Assembly expressed their collective disapproval of the Real ID Act by passing a non-binding resolution asking the federal government to repeal it. More recently, on January 17, 2007, State Representative Jim Guest introduced legislation that would prohibit Missouri from participating in the Real ID program.

You may be interested to know that on February 28, 2007, Senator Akaka (D-HI) introduced the Identification Security Enhancement Act of 2007 (S.717), which would essentially repeal the Real ID Act while providing states additional flexibility and funding to more rapidly produce improved drivers licenses. As your United States Senator, I will be sure to keep your thoughts in mind as I continue working with my colleagues on the Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee to develop an effective and efficient method of ensuring that state driver’s licenses meet our national security needs.

Again, thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts with me. Please do not hesitate to contact me in the future regarding other matters of interest or concern to you.

All best,
Senator Claire McCaskill

This is a letter back from my senator in regards to the National ID and VeriChip. It is real people.

That's scary that there may well be a connection between paper ballots (which are harder to "lose") and electronic votes via Diebold. One doesn't have to search too hard on the internet to discover multiple accounts of votes apparently not counted for Ron Paul and others non-anointed by the MSM.

Are the folks in Idaho more freedom-loving than the voters of other states? More open to non-CFR candidates? Or merely just fortunate not to have their votes "lost" because they still use paper ballots?

Is Ron Paul really doing better, perhaps much better, than the MSM would have us all believe? I smell a big news story here the press will NEVER cover.

The tragic world of politics today is people attacked Dr. Paul's policies as fantastical.

However, it is they, who need to wake up from their fantasy that the status quo need be unchanged and that our continued imperialistic and militaristic policies are necessary.

What national security threat does Iraq, Iran, Japan, Germany, and Saudi Arabia? The list goes on. Our continued military presence abroad ONLY breeds hatred and terrorism, and there is no reason to continue spending more than a trillion dollars a year to support the needless empire. The U.S. troops should be station here at our own dissolving boarders.

People attack Dr. Paul's positions to abolish the IRS and other wasteful agencies.
This attack is not only warrantless but also irrational. What good does the unconstitutional and abusive IRS do, other than seize property without due process, steal the hard earned money of American taxpayers and destroy businesses? Dr. Paul does not propose that we eliminate all taxes, rather that we eliminate all unnecessary taxation and an agency that inevitably abuses its power.

They again, attack Dr. Paul's desire to return to the gold standard as being baseless. However, what they fail to realize is that Dr. Paul actually does support the idea with the fact that “If we continue to print money without anything to back it up, an inevitable financial disaster will occur.”

In addition, Dr. Paul desires to eliminate the illegal institution such The Federal Reserve, a central bank run by a few unelected officials who need not be audit, answer to "We the People." As a result, more baseless money is printed and interest rates are artificially manipulated by this small group of people.

Lastly, let it be known that Dr. Ron Paul is NOT a neo-conservative but rather a constitutionalist who wants to reign in the runaway federal government and restore personal freedom, liberty and a constitutional government “Designed by the people with high moral, guided by principals and for we the people”

Personal freedom and limited government are things the Founding Fathers envisioned, and Dr. Paul is the ONLY candidate who can fulfill them.

Lobbyist at center of healthcare overhaul

WASHINGTON - The face of the insurance industry in Washington is a slight, soft-spoken former AFL-CIO employee benefits director with a penchant for data-driven logic.
