Ricky Martin crazy for Clinton
Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have each added superdelegates today, while Clinton also announced an endorsement from a well-known entertainer.
Ricky Martin -- the five-time Grammy winning singer of "She Bangs" and "Livin' La Vida Loca" -- could particulary help Clinton in his native Puerto Rico, which holds its primary on Sunday.
"These elections will have historic repercussions both in the United States and the world. Senator Clinton has always been consistent in her commitment with the needs of the Latino community. Whether fighting for better education, universal health care and social well-being, as First Lady and Senator from New York -- representing millions of Latinos --she has always fought for what is most important for our families," Martin said in a statement provided by the Clinton campaign.
On the superdelegate count, Obama has the backing of Gail Rasmussen, a Democratic National Committee member from Oregon. Clinton added Eileen Macoll, vice chairwoman of the Washington State Democratic Party.
UPDATE: Late this afternoon, Obama announced the endorsement of Congressman Alan B. Mollohan of West Virginia.
"I believe Senator Obama will bring America a new era of trust, principled leadership and positive results," he said in a statement. "He has the intelligence, capacity and values that assure me he will confront the real issues that Americans face every day - health care, pension reform, energy prices, the struggling economy, and, of course, the issue of Iraq."
Obama now has 1,983 total delegates, just 43 away from clinching the nomination -- at least until the magic number changes with the restoration of some Florida and Michigan delegates on Saturday by the DNC's rules committee.

Hillary, please do not run for VP. Let Obama lose on his own! You have too much experience to take orders from a him. Run in 2012, I'll be there! And, now that the Rev. Wright tapes have been exposed, we can re-vote, and the rest will be there for you too!
I agree With Cindy. She should not run for VP. I can't see people voting for Obama other than they hate her because she is a Clinton, and a super intelligent woman. I'm going GOP this year, and so are many of my friends who campained our hearths out for Hillary. The treatment she got from the media was so insulting and shameless that voting for Obama is just a no-no. The answer is to wait for her to run on 2012. Let's clinch to our religion meanwhile, an pray that all the Matthews, Oberman's and the like are unmasked by then. Their not so hidden agenda will be fully expossed by them if we the people demand it. Let's boycott MSNBC,NBC, and all the media who was the ultimate description of a sexist I've ever seen in my life. I have an 11 year old daughter. I'm having a hard time explaining this.
Hey Cindy and JHernandez: Why don't you stop hiding in the bushes and let everyone see that you're really just republicals disguising yourselves in Democratic clothing? If you were really Democrats you'd know that both Senators Obama and Clinton have much more in common with you than John McSame does. Would your 11 year old daughter be better off with increased taxes to pay for McSames debt? Will she be better off when Roe v. Wade is overturned by the anti-choice activist justices McSame appoints?
Also, I seriously don't know where you're getting this "mistreatment" line. She was the first to go negative. She is the one who insists that changing the rules in the middle of a game is "the moral position." Mr. Obama has taken all of the hypocritical attacks thrown at him (and his wife) with dignity, and by Wednesday will be the fair-and-square winner.
Don't even get me started on your "expereince" delusion. Obama has more years in elective office than Clinton does. She was wrong about Iraq because she couldn't be bothered to read the National Inteligence Estimate that showed no proof of WMDs. And most importantly she is the one who basked in the glory of being the presumtive nominee so much that she made inevitability her only campaign strategy, then did nothing but whine when it didn't work.
Either get a clue or show yourselves to be the republical operatives you are. You're nothing but Lieberman democrats!
I'm waiting for Wednesday!
Hillary...no VP.
only PRESIDENT in 2008!
It WILL happen!
It's the typical Obama supporters like CUZINO and their endless refrain "If you're not for Obama, then you're just another sorry Republican like our parents," that's turning so many of us old line (i.e. older) Democrats against Obama.
((No, the "quote" is not Cuzino's words --- it's what my mind perceives when I listen to rants from the Obamacrats.))
A person's integrity is only as good as that of the company he keeps and it's rhe Obama crowd's self-serving attitude of "you're either with us or against us" that really gets our dander up. That has been precisely the mindset of the Dubbya George Bush administration. Who wants another 8 years of that kind of crap.
A party dominated by crazed liberal freaks will be every bit as usgly as the party dominated by lunatic religious freaks.
Hillary...no VP.
only PRESIDENT in 2008!
It WILL happen!
Obama sits as a fowl on eggs !
Being a 79 year old male war veteran of the Korean war I will not vote for or support any politician running for president of these United States of America other than senator Hillary Clinton. Barack Obama has only disputed what preacher Wright said and not that he dislikes the man. Would preacher Wright get a positon in the Barack Obama cabinet? Why hasn't the news media asked Obama about that? I am so disgusted with the democratic party that I am going to campaign against my own congressman ( Ben Chandler ) for supporting Barack Obama and I predict that Chandler will lose his next election because of his support for Obama. I hope so.
The menopause mafia is delusional.
HILLARY IS JUST TOO GOOD for the VP post. It is BO who should consider the VP post. He is deplorably ignorant in administration. Should he find his way around Washington, the country would be his gutter ball.
The caucus adopted is undemocratic which is against the hand-to-mouth working class, the housewive with children, the elders, ...and the needy.
BO won by only 6 points in Washington primary was blown up to 37 points in caucus. Texas primary 4 points win in primary was changed to 12 point losses in caucus.
worse
HILLARY keep on going our Country needs an intelligent woman like yourself so keep fighting, you got my support
I only want Hillary Clinton!!
Obama is too far left radical, and I dislike his 20 years of marxist black liberation theology because it is anti-american and anti-white hatred.
I cannot vote for Barack Obama--he doesn't know what the heck he is doing! He's a national security risk!
Hillary for President!
Never Obama
Si! Finally a brave soul who dares to endorse the stronger, woman candidate with more experience! You're my new hero Ricky!
