McCain returning to New Hampshire
Republican John McCain returns to his favorite format and one his favorite states this week with a town hall meeting in New Hampshire.
Scheduled for 12:30 p.m. Thursday at Daniel Webster College's gym in Nashua, it is McCain's first public campaign event of the week after a round of private fund-raisers in Washington and New York.
Last week, McCain challenged Democrat Barack Obama to a series of 10 weekly town halls, with the first proposed for Thursday in New York. But the two presidential campaigns are still haggling over the details of the face-offs.
McCain seems to do better in town halls -- answering questions from voters -- than in speeches at larger rallies. Many analysts credit his performance in them for his campaign-saving victory in the New Hampshire primary in January.
Still, McCain is still trying to get past a remark he made at a town hall in Derry, N.H., in January that suggested he could envision US troops in Iraq for 50 or 100 years more. He explained at the time and numerous times subsequently that he was talking about a peacekeeping role, not direct combat, but the statement has taken on a life of its own on YouTube, and Democrats and the antiwar group MoveOn.org have sought to bludgeon McCain with it.
So "SongBird" is heading back New Hampshire, People how could anyone vote for this guy, It has to one of two things, 1. You are too lazy to actually reshearch this RhineStone War Hero, 2. Or you just are a racist that can't imagine voting for a black person. Look don't take my word for it, Just google VietNam Collabortator, Here is one question to the supporters of SongBird, If the Greatest Navy the world has ever seen, would not even promote this WarHero to Capt. Then why in the World would you vote and make him Commander and Chief of It? Not to mention his nuimerouse infitelties to his first wife, I mean how does a Navy flyer crash an airplane in flight school and still get his wings? How does someone who only spent 20hrs in actual Combat get two silver stars , 3 Bronze stars and the flighing cross? I mean this guy crash 5 out of the 6 planes he flew, I find the GOP has blunderd into acepting this poser scam artist. It will be the end for the GOP, Remeber the whooping Ducockus recieved at the hands of Reagan, The demo's will have there day in the sun.
This should be a positive statement, instead you turned it into a negative. How amazing that the only statements on the other guy are all positive. Free speech requires Fair speech. If you media types don't get it we will soon be run by Bolsheviks. Again Free Speech requires Fair Speech.
McCain is gonna go down hard, and dozens of Congressional Republicans will fall behind him. This is like '96, with Republicans picking a cranky, tired old war horse with no program like Bob Dole. '96, did I say? No. It's beginning to smell like 1932!
Ted Sampley, who fought with US Special Forces in Vietnam and is now a leading campaigner for veterans’ rights, said: ‘I have been following John McCain’s career for nearly 20 years. I know him personally. There is something wrong with this guy and let me tell you what it is – deceit.
‘When he came home and saw that Carol was not the beauty he left behind, he started running around on her almost right away. Everybody around him knew it.
‘Eventually he met Cindy and she was young and beautiful and very wealthy. At that point McCain just dumped Carol for something he thought was better.
‘This is a guy who makes such a big deal about his character. He has no character. He is a fake. If there was any character in that first marriage, it all belonged to Carol.’
One old friend of the McCains said: ‘Carol always insists she is not bitter, but I think that’s a defence mechanism. She also feels deeply in his debt because in return for her agreement to a divorce, he promised to pay for her medical care for the rest of her life.’
Carol remained resolutely loyal as McCain’s political star rose. She says she agreed to talk to The Mail on Sunday only because she wanted to publicise her support for the man who abandoned her.
Indeed, the old Mercedes that she uses to run errands displays both a disabled badge and a sticker encouraging people to vote for her ex-husband. ‘He’s a good guy,’ she assured us. ‘We are still good friends. He is the best man for president.’
But Ross Perot, who paid her medical bills all those years ago, now believes that both Carol McCain and the American people have been taken in by a man who is unusually slick and cruel – even by the standards of modern politics.
‘McCain is the classic opportunist. He’s always reaching for attention and glory,’ he said.
‘After he came home, Carol walked with a limp. So he threw her over for a poster girl with big money from Arizona. And the rest is history.
Is this the person you want to run our Country?
RYAN, you want to talk about deception? Obama belonged to a church that preached intense hatred of America and whites for TWENTY YEARS and then denied knowing anything about it when first asked about the comments. He is even friends with Farrakhan, who has repeatedly called whites 'devils'. If Obama had his way, anyone with skin color lighter than his would be wiped off the planet.
So all you Obama lovers, What has he done? Anything? Whatever....I will vote for who I want and you can do the same.
