Tea leaves aplenty

For those looking for clues on if and when Hillary Clinton ends her bid for the presidency, in the face of very long odds at winning the Democratic nomination, here are a few to ponder:

-- Marc Ambinder reports that current and former Clinton staffers have been told by the campaign's finance team to file expense reports by the end of the week.

-- Politico and ABC News report that the campaign notified advance staffers -- those who prepare for, set up, and coordinate Clinton's appearances -- that there is nothing on the schedule past the senator's appearance Wednesday at an AIPAC conference in Washington.

-- Newsday's Glenn Thrush reports that Clinton, her husband, and top advisers are huddling today tomorrow at their home in Chappaqua to devise a plan for this week.

  1. It's time to admit it's over. While I have supported Obama since the start I do admire Clinton for her courage. Her courage will also be the band aid we Democrats will need to take back the white house.

  1. As I waited to hear Hillary Clinton give a concession speech last night, I told my wife "how I admired her ability" to give such a speech after her tough compaign.
Then I heard her say she would fight on, and my respect turned to disgust.

This woman is behind by 200 declared or earned votes ( 10% ) and she will jeopradize the party to press on. TOOOO much self interest and delusion.

It is time to get on with the work of defeating John McCain. Each day Hillary delays in acknowledging Barack Obama will begin to cost the party votes in the fall. No more distractions for Obama. The party needs to end this!
