  1. how does voting with Bush over 90% of the time make one a maverick?

all his "maverick" policies are failures: mccain-feingold campaign finance bill is a failure, he abandoned his immigration bill, and his climate change bill won't get a single vote from across the aisle. mccain as a maverick is a myth.

  1. Great choice. Smart move. Yang, attractive, articulate, with proven track record of accomplishments, dedicated mother and wife, down to earth blue collar family, good old fashioned American values, outsider, fiscal conservative.

What did Obama accomplished in his life other then giving great speeches? Did he balance any budgets? Did he run or managed anything sub shop, gift shop anything where he had to be accountable for something much less then being a Mayor or a Governor of the state? Did he deal with any corrupt individuals … ah…, actually he did and quite a lot. And not just plain corrupts but also anti-American reverends and unrepeated terrorist. How he dealt with them? They are some of his closest friends and associated.

Its sure is a fine record to put against Sarah Palin’s.

Good job McCain. Very good job.

  1. Counter-intuitively, this makes the issue of Obama's light resume more potent than ever. Her lack of experience is no more than his is. And he's -- to use a term from Alaska, and the Iditarod -- their lead dog.

  1. Since when is city council and mayoral experience, along with a governorship, lack of experience? Plus booting corrupt officials out of office? She has more executive experience than Obama. I do think Pawlenty or Romney would have been a wiser choice, considering McCain's age.

  1. McCain has managed to find a right wing Republican Cheney replicant with two X chromosomes: A gun toting hunter, anti-abortion, anti-gay rights, pro-drilling, anti polar bear right winger with no experience and no fashion sense . . . just look at those glasses and hair!. Yeah right, I might vote for them. . .
