Clock ticking for Biden
The Republicans are in love with clocks.
They had one for Barack Obama, mocking him for not having visited Iraq since January 2006. That one, finally, mercifully, ended when Obama spent time with military leaders, diplomats, and government officials during a tour of Iraq and Afghanistan last month.
Now, they have one for Senator Joe Biden, ridiculing his propensity for verbal slips.
The Republican National Committee announced this morning it has restarted the "gaffe clock" on the Democratic vice presidential nominee after the RNC says he mixed up "battalions" with "brigades" during his acceptance speech Wednesday night.
"This comes only four days, 17 hours, and 59 minutes since his last gaffe, made shortly after beginning his vice presidential bid," the RNC said. That would be calling his new running mate, "Barack America."
I mean, what can you say? Republicans are morons. This is embarrassing.
ahhhh, yet they make no mention of McCain mixing up Shiite and Sunni (not like that relevant today right?) and still saying Czechoslovakia? HE"S running for Pres, and can't get that straight.
Yet the RNC wants to point out a noun mix-up by Biden in his acceptance speech? Slippery slope Repubs....I wouldn't do that.
For crying out loud, GW can't pronounce half the dictionary!
They're so transparent and hypocritical. Unreal.
Q: Why isn't there a "gaffe clock" for our president, Curious George?
A: Because it's too hard to find a clock that measures billionths of seconds!
The biggest gaffe is the Temple of Obama. I'd love to meet the numbskull handlers who dreamed of this one. Their staged speech at the Temple of Hercules in Europe has gone to their heads. No way does that temple look like the White House or the US Capitol. The closest comparison is a monument dedicated to King Victor Emmanuel II of Italy. Last time I looked we don't have "Kings" in this country.
Then again, the last time someone proclaimed themselves as "King of the World" saw their ship sink. Nice analogy with someone else's sinking poll numbers.
I may have to watch tonight's PT Barnum's Big Show just to see if any subversive Republicans in the audience break out in a "Toga! Toga! Toga!" chant.
Go figure that the stagecraft company putting on this celebrity show (let's call a spade a spade shall we?) just did Britney Spear's tour. Go figure....

With the columns the DNC is honoring the anniversary of the MLK I Have A Dream speech which was given in front of the Lincoln Memorial. You know, the building in Washington DC that is built in the Greco-Roman style, LIKE EVERY OTHER BUILDING IN THE NATION'S CAPITAL.
oh wait, McCain VOTED AGAINST honoring Dr. King with his own holiday.
