Obama's rural vision

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor August 11, 2008 11:48 AM

Barack Obama's campaign just posted a web video that is more of a short movie than an ad.

Evoking the American values and the rural agenda that Obama speaks about, the film is a time-lapse image of supporters painting his campaign logo and a slogan on the side of a barn in Trumbull County, Ohio, last month.

At the end of the 2-minute film, the side of the barn has "Barack Obama: Campaign for Change on It."

"We're not in this thing on our own," Obama says. "We're in it together."

  1. We're not in WHAT thing???

    We're in WHAT together???

This is THE MOST pathetic worthless ad I've ever seen.

As I sit here clutching my guns and my religion, how is Obama going to CHANGE my life and bring me HOPE?

Is he going to take away my guns?

Is he going to make me read the Koran?

  1. Obama's campaign is like a pathetic Hollywood show: first he makes a world tour like Springstein, has his own presidential seal, will notify via email his VP selection, now he wants to paint barns! Wow, what a comincal campaign. Someone needs to tell all his supporters that this is a very serious matter, electing the president and commander in chief. We have terrorists all over the world blowing themselves and others up, now Russia is at war. Obama just would not be able to hack it in these positions. He belongs in a show or movie, not in the Oval Office. He does not even make sense lately.

  1. let's be clear. your boy mcsame talked for six months about how obama needed to visit iraq and he did. and you know what? the rest of the world already wants him as president because a) he does not act unilaterally with some neoconservative agenda b) he is intelligent and c) he has appealed to the one respectable thing left in politics: hope
this is a very serious matter? someone better tell all of bush and mcsame's followers that we live on one planet and that we need to work with others to prevent extremists from attacking us. secondly, the extremists were never in iraq and we began a war there. we should have been helping the situation in afghanistan. and again, trudy you do not have to profess your love for america b/c we all love america, its just some of us want to see it prosper for our children.
