House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, the highest-ranking woman in US politics, vouches for Barack Obama in a video message to Michigan voters.
In the spot, Pelosi highlights the state's potential importance in November as a swing state, and also directly appeals to female voters. The ad features images of Rosa Parks, the civil rights pioneer who refused to go to the back of the bus in Montgomery, Ala., and of women working the assembly line during World War II.
"The campaign of change begins in Michigan," Pelosi says.

This leader cannot even sell her book to women. We will not buy Obama Kool-Aid either.
Yes, Nancy Pelosi is the highest ranking woman in US government (not politics, Foon Rhee), but Hillary Clinton has won the support of 18 million+ voters. Nancy Pelosi is so jealous of Hillary Clinton's popularity that she ganged up with the DNC's old boy network to block Hillary Clinton's ascent to the highest office. She is the worst type of person that women can encounter in the workplace - the jealous woman.
Hillary supporters are only affirming old female stereotypes acting as "women scorned." Their acting like unreasonable ex-girfriends who just can't accept that they've been dumped.
If they are really interested in women's rights, clearly Obama is a far superior choice than McCain. Don't let your hurt feelings interfere with logic.
Funny that two criticisms here about women in politics come sounds like they come from two men!
What has McCain done for women, other than divorcing one while she was crippled and offering the other up to bikers at Sturgis!
as has been widely reported in many places -- and is easily seen if one followed the primaries, Clinton lost due to her poor executive abilities. She could not manage her staff and was unable/unwilling to make the necessary decisions to guide her campaigns. Blaming Pelosi or Obama is small minded sour grapes that has nothing to do with reailty.
18 million votes. $20 million in debt. Do you see how the numbers work out? If you are true supporters .... retire Hillary's debt! Action speaks louder than words.
How she ran her campaign is how she'd have run the executive branch of the government.
