Biden downplays Palin effect

I have a question regarding the real public broadcasts of teenage pregnancy and the issues revolving sex and minors, especially given Palin's emergence. I remember in the past a young black male who was thrust into the media and aggressively prosecuted for having oral sex with an underage girl. At the same time, Brittney Spears sister was pregnant at 16 and now Palin's daughter is pregnant at 17 and the males in this case are not being prosecuted!!!

When we were younger, we were always told that regardless of whether or not sex was consensual, it is considered rape (statutory rape). So, why the double standard and why is no one raising the issue and why are the males in these cases not being prosecuted?

Does this unfortunately now become a race issue where an African-American is negatively portrayed while white males are treated differently? Or does this issue just get swept under the carpet? More disturbingly, the ABC "Family" channel is now broadcasting the "Life of an American Teenager" showing a highschool teenager pregnant. To be fair, I have not watched the show, but there does seem to be an attempt to make this more acceptable, perhaps to take away the impact of Palin's situation, perhaps wash it away?

Anyways, I am more interested in finding out why the state is not taking steps to prosecute the boys for rape?

Wow Biden - usually you are the one with the personal attacks on people. What you do not remember those things after you say them? You sir are a hypocrite and lets see who personally attacks who during the debate. If I was a better person I would make a bundle in saying - You sir.

Now, I ask you. Why did you attack Sarah Palin on the free day that was agreed upon a few weeks ago. You Biden was suppose to adhere to that day but you could not resist the need to personally attack Sarah Palin. If you could not adhere to one day of no personal attacks then it proves you have not changed one bit.

Governor Jennifer Granholm is a UCal-Berkeley undergrad (Phi Betta Kappa) and Harvard Law grad with 3 children (she's 49 yrs old).

Soooo, how come she wasn't at least vetted to be Obama's VP? What's wrong with her credentials? She's been governor since 2003. She's a former Attorney General. She's in the Michigan Woman's Hall of Fame. She's Michigan's first female governor. Michigan was voted as the 3rd best managed state by Governing magazine. She also won the Miss San Carlos CA beauty pageant and was a contestant on The Dating Game show.

Granholm I believe was born in Canada. Probably not the high risk you want to take in a presidential election, unless of course you're a "maverick". That remark is beyond rediculous. She's a working member of his campaign team!

To become the V. President is not necessary for you to be an attcking Bull, what is important is your records and resume to deal with National issues as compared to a small knowlege of a governed ares of Alska. We are yet to see Palin as a Human Intelligent figure and materials necessary to become a Vice President .

As such, the debate is not about personality or a Beuty Contest, it shall be based on the candidtes overall knowledge of what is expected each of them to know and the Traits and knowledge needed for VP post in such a powerful sttaes of America.
Let no one asks a Rhetoric question about the two participants or to be playing games of any sorts. At any debate, it is the problems facing the states that matters and past records of participants otherr than Twisting and Lying over one's personality or records.

Where a Debate is lacking in coordionation or that the participants are not being sincere, this will make the debate to be bored and uninteresting tantamount to a waste of Quality time. Hence the hooker should be moderate and to lists for the participants intelligent questions, but well timed and accurate.

Obviously nobody from Governing Magazine has ever been to Michigan. This state has not taken any steps forward in 20 years, inluding the last 5 under Granholm.
