Close races in five battleground states

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor September 17, 2008 04:39 PM

In the latest series of polls in battleground states, Democrat Barack Obama and Republican John McCain are statistically dead even in Florida, North Carolina, Ohio, and Wisconsin, while McCain has a slight edge in Indiana.

The CNN/Opinion Research Corp. surveys say that Obama and McCain each have 48 percent among registered voters in Florida.

Obama has a 49 percent to 47 percent edge in Ohio and a 50 percent to 47 percent one in Wisconsin, and McCain has a 48 percent to 47 percent lead in North Carolina -- but those leads are within the polls' 3-percentage-point margins of error.

McCain leads in Indiana 51 percent to 45 percent.

The numbers don't change significantly when the minor candidates -- Libertarian Bob Barr, Green Party candidate Cynthia McKinney, and independent Ralph Nader -- are included.

.

The latest Rasmussen Polls show:

FL: McCain 49% to Obama 44%
OH: McCain 48% to Obama 45%
PA: McCain 47% to Obama 47%
WA: Obama 49% to McCain 47%
VA: McCain 49% to Obama 47%

Was I little Johnny McCain, I would be worried. Everyone knows just about everything about him, and he cannot close the deal.

But Obama can close the deal, like the deal on his house financed by a convicted political fixer. Anyway, McCain will close the lid on this slick political hack from Chicago in November.

Call your friends and family in all battleground states and make sure they get out the vote this year. I think one thing we can all agree on is that we want a clear winner this year and no winner decided by the Supreme Court or arguments from the losing side about tactics and machine errors. Please people get out and vote and encourage others to do the same. Only this way will the true candidate of the people be elected fairly.

Why is it soo difficult for Obama to have a clear advantage over the voters, He should have selected Hillary, Biden is anti-Mexico and that is not good.

Ike in cuba get cuban americans behind obama because they want to send money to their relatives. Crises at wall street get the old people behind obama because they want to secure their safings. Registration drives drive the number of black people in the state up. Obama is in Florida over the hill now.

McSame is morally bankrupt(ran out on wife after Vietnam because she was disfigured in accident), has no spine(flipflopped on every major issue in campaign) a proven liar(Palin's earmarks, lies about Obama), bought & sold by big oil(policy favors drilling which is methadone to oil companies & ignorant populace, but has no long term effect), a sellout(changed positions & made Palin, a neo-con extremist as VP to shore up radical religious right), a doubletalker(will not answer abortion question honestly because he & Palin have such extreme views), and last but not least he's ignorant of how our govt. works(he would fire SEC chair?, well the president does not have that authority, as per 1935 FDR Supreme Court case). Send this village idiot back to AZ & palin back to Earmark, AK.

Ralph, Ron, & Cynthia:

Now they're planning the crime of the century
Well what will it be?
Read all about their schemes & adventuring
It's well worth the fee

So roll up and see
How they rape the universe
How they've gone from bad to worse

Who are these men* of lust, greed, & glory?
Rip off the masks & let's see

But that's not right, oh no, what's the story?
There's you & there's me

That can't be right
