McCain ad defends Palin

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor September 10, 2008 07:27 PM

In its aggressive defense of Sarah Palin, John McCain's campaign is out with a new TV ad that pictures Democratic operatives as marauding wolves.

The ad opens by citing an independent fact-checking group calling some of the attacks on Palin false, then a Wall Street Journal report that 30 lawyers, investigators, and opposition researchers are in Alaska as images of a wolf pack appear on screen.

"As Obama drops in the polls, he'll try to destroy her," the female announcer says. "Obama's politics of hope? Empty words."

McCain's surprise pick of Palin has energized the Republican base and, along with the Republican convention last week, has boosted him in the polls.

Barack Obama's campaign has questioned her reformist claims and its surrogates have described her views on abortion and other social issues as "extremist."

UPDATE: The fact-checking group cited in the ad lodged a complaint today, saying it had been cited incorrectly.

"Our article criticized anonymous e-mail falsehoods and bogus claims about Palin posted around the Internet," Factcheck.org said in a statement. "We have no evidence that any of the claims we found to be false came from the Obama campaign."

"We don't object to people reprinting our articles. In fact, our copyright policy encourages it. But we've also asked that "the editorial integrity of the article be preserved" and told those who use our items that "you should not edit the original in such a way as to alter the message."

  1. Another enlightening commercial from McCain/Palin, that in reality, says absolutely nothing about anyone or anything.

  1. “John McCain says he’s about change, too, and so I guess his whole angle is, ‘Watch out George Bush.’ Except for economic policy, health care policy, tax policy, education policy, foreign policy and Karl Rove-style politics. That’s not change. That’s just calling something the same thing, something different. But you know you can put lipstick on a pig, but it’s still a pig. You know, you can wrap an old fish in a piece of paper called change, it’s still going to stink after eight years.”

He's talking about McCain. I think Obama is right on the mark. I mean what else can the GOP do but put lipstick on a pig? I think McCain’s VP is a desperate attempt to repackage the Republican "Brand" in a new maverick mythology, which by all stretches of the imagination is entirely chimerical.

I think it will be difficult for Republicans to make any substantial arguments against affirmative action after this pick. Affirmative action not for individual uplift but as desperate political maneuvering is a cynical betrayal of principals to gain power.

One question - and please answer honestly:
Were Palin a man, would McCain have picked her? Point made.

...and now John McCain only wants to talk about Palin.

    Why? Skepticism isn't sexism.....

Do you love how the McCain campaign is exploiting women by his VP pick?
It seems to be working and it is a sign of how gullible people are.

Before Palin, McCain was no go for women. So the McCain campaign picks a woman with just about the same opinions and record as McCain, and women start falling in line? MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!

What does that say about American women?

  1. Whose attacks on Palin have been false? Bloggers can say what they want, but all of the Obama campaign's criticisms of Palin have been true.

If you count blog posts, then there are a few million racist anti-Obama remarks you might want to address.

  1. Palin is just some lady - she has no special qualifications. Why do you think so many boring, undereducated, white women are thrilled with her? She's going down faster than she did in high school, and bringing the Republican party with her. The only part of the Republican base she energized was their pants. I'm disappointed that conservatives can be so naive to think that she was even qualified to be governor of Alaska. Her niche is being a bitch, and she only got away with it because she's pretty.

  1. Clearly, this message is a lie in itself, at the least, a gross exageration. By publishing ads like this, the McCain group only demonstrates that their pick of Palin had no grounding in reason or ethics, only in Political gaming. While this may be a surprise to none, to take it forgranted is a self deception and wrong. The Obama campaign is trying their damndest not to get drawn into a cat fight, but I would forgive them for coming to their own defense at this point.

Sarah Palin's views on creationism are from the middle ages, and her candidacy as a VP, let alone the person who can step up as President, is utterly ridiculous, indeed potentially devestating.

America is responsible for its majority vote, and will live with that, each of you, and your children, will live with that.

Did I mention she doesn't acknowledge Global Warming as something affected by mankind.

McCain will destroy the economy, Palin the rights and free agency of minorities and intellectuals.. this isn't about partisanship.. its about giving a flying duck about reality, the future, and certain unalienable rights and wrongs.

  1. Obama is treating Palin as he did Hillary. Obama is condescending, dismissive, disrespectful and mocking of women in general (what, he did not like his white mother? he titled his book for his father who abandoned him). He looked straight at Hillary and said in a mocking tone "yes, Hillary, people like you", now he is comparing Palin to a pig. What a assh---.

Women of the U.S.,, Vote fo Palin, then in 4 more years it will be Hillary's last chance.

  1. Diversionary tactics will not erase the need for a policy to improve the economy and our standing with the world's nations. The economic and international political situation is critical. The US needs leaders who recognize this and can provide a program to improve both, rather than spending its resources on defammatory marketing campaigns.

Sarah Palin is a fellow American and should be treated with respect.

But does she have ANY opinions/solutions/strategies on anything besides abortion and sex-ed?

Posted by Sam September 10, 08 01:33 PM
  1. The idea that Palin should be treated with respect is based on what, that she managed to use the same attack style politics on her one serious oppopnent in Alaska, and it worked. The woman isn't even qualified to be govenor of the least populated, most rural state int he union, to think she is therefor qualified to be President is simply beyond reason.

I am an ex USAF pilot, an independent by voter registration, but I see no honor or independence in McCain. I honor his time as a POW but that tired old story doesn't represent any kind of qualification to be President. Even his insistence that "we will be victorious" in Iraq is probably more of a cry of anguish about how frustrated he must have been after returning from Vietnam, then it is a realistic belief. McCain is living in the past, WW2 to be exact, a time when wars were "won or lost". In todays environment of massive nuclear armaments and terrorists who belong to no country, the idea of a clear victory is meaningless. The war in Iraq will last exactly as long as we are willing to keep troops in Iraq, just as was the case in Vietnam. The only way we could get a WW2 type victory over "terror" would be to blanket the entire middle east with nuclear warheads, not something even McCain is likely to approve.

Is campaign McCain saying black men are like wolves ?
Are they saying that black men hunt women in packs ?

How do they characterize the 55 member strong Palin Truth Squad ?

Clearly they are gearing up to spin whatever Palin says to be politically acceptable to the ticket. 12 days, still haven't heard an unscripted sentence from his VP.

They paint Palin as an extremist and will continue to do so because she's religious. I don't see the culture war starting with the Republicans. I see it with all those snooty liberal academics going after religious people.

  1. Palin's acceptance speech claims about her own performance really impressed us. Then we got the facts; and every one of her key claims proved to be a lie! What a let down! But it's far worse. Now, some four days after her official record demolished her claims, she, and McCain, are repeating the lies - to great applause and chants of "USA, USA" and "Country First!" Are Repubs that degenerate? Do they really believe that the leadership of the Free World should go to America's biggest liar?

Susie, if you think that Obama didn't know what reaction he would get when he said "lipstick on a pig" (after all the "lipstick" we've been subjected to since Palin's speech) or "old fish," you are in denial. 1. John McCain has gotten into Obama's head... one thing that Obama cannot handle is criticism about himself. McCain does not have Obama's ego, so he doesn't mind Palin having the spotlight on her. When the votes come in, "he" will be the president, but Obama cannot help himself, it always needs to be about him. This is why he could not pick Hillary, because she might outshine him.

In view of what he did to Hillary, voters are very sensitive to his attacks so he's in a no-win situation. If he attacks, it makes him look bad... when he doesn't, it makes him look weak.

Obama's only strength is his speeches and rhetoric... but even that is starting to get old. When he speaks off script, he fumbles and sounds like a high school kid on the debate team. He is totally flummoxed!

  1. On matters such as policy, issues, quality of campaign, inspiration, change from the GWB disaster, etc., Obama should be up by 40 points. He isn't and for two very poor reasons. One is race. One is dirty Rovian politics that brought us the worst administaration in history. We cannot afford 4 more years of Bush. I liked McCain 2000, but that is not who is running. The picture we have of the decent man who wanted to clean up politics and run a positive campaign, has seeded his campiagn to Schmidt and is running the worst most negative presidential campaign in history. It is time to fight negative campaigns and fight racism and bring Obama the strong victory that will put America first. As to sexism, the problem with that is the Obama supporters would love to see a women be president and support equal pay and everything women have been working for, the opposition is the other side. My wife, daughter and their friends all concur.

If you are on the fence candidate-wise, you really don't have a lot to work with regarding Palin right now. If you really feel that the acceptance speech was enough to base a vote upon, okay, but considering the amount of responsibility this vote carries, I would urge folks to watch the debates and really take some time to explore the issues. If McCain/Palin try to run the clock out without addressing the real issues, then they don't really deserve your vote do they? Someone should be sending investigators up to AK. Someone has to provide the information since McCain/Palin are not.

  1. How refreshing not having to see Obama all news all the time since Sarah Palin was introduced to us. The Palin haters don't get it as to why she is so popular. Even Karl Rove couldn't have put together a package like Palin. Thousands of men and women can relate to her. She has a good record as governor, and she has faced the same every day concerns related to a growing family many Americans do. She inspires the average American and especially women who see her as a cult hero - a modern day female equivalent to Teddy Roosevelt - hunter, conservationist, parent and full of life. She has a "can do" spirit not found among most American politicians. Her persona is so threatening to the left, an army of attorneys and investigators have been dispatched to dig up any dirt they can. Every tid bit is pounced on, magnified and given great importance regardless of its veracity by the looney left. I can't believe you Palin haters are so scared of this woman. How pathetic you people are!!

(sorry, touchy subject) They flew in the plane loads of lawyers then too thinking they'd lawyer the thing to death and win by a technicality. I'm not surprised to read of the Democrats sending platoons of lawyers into Alaska to dig the dirt (true or untrue - it doesn't matter to them). I frankly don't recall the Republicans doing the same into southside Chicago, do you? The Rev. Wright and William Ayers messes blew up by themselves - it didn't take a platoon of hit-man Republican lawyers to come up with that.

The Democratic Party thinks they can legislate and lawyer anything. They are so beside themselves about Sen. McCain and Gov. Palin taking the mantle of change and popularity away from them. Desparate tactics for a desperate political leadership.

Lets see, she has more experience than Obama, she has done more to clean up her states corrupt government (even those in her own party), she doesn't believe in killing babies, she wants to drill for oil (in Alaska too!)....they is much more.

Obama? what has he done? He's a good speaker when he has a teleprompter, without he does not have a clue.
He wants to raised taxes on coporations and the rich...and this will help the poor?
Not it will not, their taxes may go down, but their costs will go up. Less jobs will also be a end result.

The only thing insulting here is that you liberals/democrats are believing every nasty lie and half truth that has come out in this last month about Palin. Face it, Obamas people had no idea the VP pick would be Palin and they weren't preparded. They are throwing out lie after lie in order to destroy her...hmmm...who are the hate mongers here (you libs need to look in the mirror, you may see where the hate is coming from, hate based on lies).
It is sad that so many of you liberal democrats will not even do a little research on what your liberal elitist gods are feeding you...I am ashamed that you can't even motivate yourself to do something for your country...you would rather just have these socialists take over...you would rather a Democrat win without knowning what he will do to this country.

  1. If Sarah Palin was such a bad person as Obama and his supporters suggest then they would not have to send their wolf pack to dig dirt up on her. The dirt would be already out in the open for everyone to see. Seems to me that Obama supporters can't do nothing but say nasty things about her that shows just how weak they are. Some people have made it past elementary school tactics, but not some of the democrats. The hard core democrats I know do not have any valid arguments they just say nasty things and scream them out as loud as they can to drown out any opposing views. I'm tired of this and would hope that they might grow up and join the rest of us by coming up with real ideas that merit listening to them. I would hate to see foreign policy modeled after some of these post.

  1. Both parties are trying to discredit their opponents and "dig dirt". This is nothing new - election politics as usual. I am an independant and do not wish to make any comments on the main players except it seems more and more like an Obama against Palin race (!). Another observation : the analogy of lawyers as wolves. Actually wolves are "popular" animals and I would suggest using hyenas (except hyenas are not found in Alaska).

In all seriousness, the Obama campaign will be mistaken to target the temporarily popular, fresh-face Sarah Palin. Better for them to concentrate on issues and in particular the economy. Things in Irak are looking much better as we seem to have turned around the corner and the situation is stabilizing (General Petraeus has corrected the previous mistakes, and things look on the up and up).

  1. Two things from a non-American.

First, it is obvious that Hillary and Obama were using NAFTA as a tactic to get elected. If they are foolish enough to open NAFTA, Canada and likely Mexico have the energy reserves to renegotiate in our favor, likely not in the U.S. favor.

Second, why does it seem that Democrat supporters are only part-time patriots? The U.S. has been through economic problems before and will come out strong afterwards. These democrats that indicate they'll leave the country if McCain wins...other countries don't need quitters. However, it is obvious that you need a president with experience.

  1. Schmidt, Rove and Davis are attacking a Pig Wearing Lipstick? Because they branded Governor Sarah Palin as their Pit bull wearing Lip stick? What is the difference between a Pig and a Pit bull?

Pigs, also called hogs or swine, are ungulates which have been domesticated as sources of food, leather, and similar products since ancient times. From Wikipedia

Pit Bull is a term commonly used to describe several breeds of dog in the Molosser family that were historically used for dog fighting. From Wikipedia

Proof that they are attempting to steal the Pet, Lip stick and Fashion vote!

I never thought this election might be decided on Missy Piggy vs Pit Bull with lip stick. I bet the whole world's online community is thinking “So this is America and Democracy?” Yes I say! This is our finest hour! 55 more days! In my storage room where I parked my computer this artist is looking for a quick response ... Democrat's courting Republican and Independent voters who love pets, lipstick and fashion.

For inspiration I'm looking at my favorite videos. For lip stick lets see how about - Super Bowl XXXVIII Commercial - Bud Light 6 of 8 (Lipstick). For fashion - Diesel 'Liquid Space' Holographic Fashion Show. For Pet owners - Talking dogs and Funny Cats. Do think my quick response will work?

  1. The manchurian candidate's blind supporters are mad becuase his poll numbers are slipping. Ms. Palin is more than a match for him.
Obama is a remarkable person yet he is not capable of a direct attack on substance instead he issued sexist backstabbing remarks about Hillary Clinton and now is doing the same petty insulting stuff about Palin.
His supporters have even stooped to attacking her kids. That is why this ad is necessary to show that venom cannot be disguised with a polite and articulate shell.
If you don't like Palin, fine vote for Obama just don't try to convince me that it isn't sexist to refer to someones femenine behaviors appearance or family, is a potential policy fault.
Obama, is as passive agressive as they get and he is a man.

  1. The two problems with Obama claiming the pig remark didn't refer to Palin are (1) McCain used the same analogy previously, and (2) it's factually true. When the Republicans make some out of bounds remark they're "just trying to inject a little humor into the campaign" (as McCain once said, following it with that irritating, sniggering little elementary school boy chuckle he has), and falsely claiming surprise that it would be taken wrong. When Democrats do it, it's an unjustified and sexist remark, and oh, by the way, did I mention I was a war hero 30 years ago? I wouldn't have used lipstick on a pig though, I'd have used "trying to make a silk purse out of a sow's ear" - it's more gender specific.

  1. Wolves aren't all that polular Josh B. at least not with most Palin voters I know, more people with direct experience with the animal. But I agree, they are better than lawyers. Too bad the democrats can't find a candidate that isn't a lawyer.

  1. Obama talks a good game on one hand and then unleashes the pit bulls on the other. He's just another ordinary, eloquent politician who is a lightweight politician and not ready to be President.

  1. What again, exactly are these lies? Her record no matter how you spin it supports everything she has said. If she fought against the "bridge to nowhere" the fact she may have been in favor of it initially is irrelevant. Haven't all you Dems railed against leaders unable to admit originally mistaken positions. Isn't it every elected official's responsiblity to represent the wishes of their constituents. When the people who elected you express their wish for you to change your position, what would you have them do? Remember, she knew she would be accused of flip flopping and did the right thing anyway. How often do democracts buck their party? Anyone? Lieb doesn't count.

  1. To skmj: Palin is the first woman governor in America ????? There have been MANY before her. Know your US history, THEN wrap yourself in a flag.

Jinny: A President doesn't change tires and your rant seems to indicate you lack the ability to deal with the cognitive dissonance that happens when a man doesn't go around grunting to prove himself. Constitutional law scholar vs. mechanic - which is the better president?

Why is it that most every McFootInTheGrave supporter here can't seem to get their spelling, grammar, and history past remedial middle school levels here?

Also, they can't seem to put any facts into their diatribes. People are using lies to discredit Palin as anything but a sad attempt at stirring the pot? What lies are being used so unjustly? It's all been true and it DID start coming out IMMEDIATELY?

Dig dirt? Right, it's best to NOT know anything about a candidate before considering them.

She and McOld were the ones trying to fake a story about her history, experience, and family.

Son to the Army, another with Downs... awwwwww....
But no mention of the pregnant daughter while the kids were being trotted out for political gain.

I said thanks but no thanks to that bridge.
Because she had lots of other ways to spend that money..
Such as taking a per diem for working from home.

Conservatives and the ill-informed everywhere like her spunk and folksy ways, so they HATE and FEAR when the pretty picture painted by Bush's speechwriters starts fading into the morass of lies and subterfuge that the GOP has been pushing since the Republican revolution. Say one thing, do whatever.

This is simply ANOTHER version of the same tired story from Republicans. Say or do anything to win elections, then line the pockets of friends and screw the country.

  1. We've had an idiot in the White House for the last 7 years ... a man who can't speak coherently, can’t comprehend basic facts, and scoffs at science.

No matter what their policy positions, is it too much to ask that the next occupant of the White House be an intelligent, well-versed and informed person? Obama is all of that, and more.

Meanwhile, on another planet, Palin thinks the world was created in a few days, thinks there's no human contribution to global warming, and ignores the science on sex education.

I'm tired of being embarrassed by an idiotic president when I travel abroad -- let's put someone in the White House that is intellectually up to the job.

  1. lipstick? c'mon, that was obviously about gop attempts to obscure the fact that their political agenda hasn't changed in decades. what they need most are the distractions like these to keep folks from talking about what we can expect from more of the same republicans in office, which is only more of the same. fact is the bush regime will still be in power next year if we let him pass the sputtering torch of freedom to these people. just how long can it continue to burn if we fail now to regain its custody? i can't believe jm has enough fight left to do this job and doubt palin would even question her handlers.

  1. TIME OUT. WE INTERRUPT THE REGULAR SCHEDULE PROGRAMMING TO BRING THIS IMPORTANT MESSAGE!

(This message is not intended to offend atheist or others who don't believe in christianity.)

This message is to the Evangelicals.
First of all there is no such a thing as a half-truth or a white lie for that matter. It's either a lie or its the truth.
What's really sad is a mature Christian repents when chastised. You evangelicals and others are enablers to the point now that an ad with the same lie is being shown over and over on TV. That's demonic. God has nothing to do with that lie. If you read your Bibles you would know that the Father of all lies is satan. You should ask Palin to pull the ad and explain that she made a mistake or don't explain it but change it, and get on with your campaign. You guys have even made a liar out McCain because now he says on the campaign trail that Palin sold the plane on ebay for a profit. Just outright lying to the people of this nation and your lies are going around the world. Evangelicals let me remind you of what God saids in a scripture found in Matthew 15:8-9 (NIV)

8:These people honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me.

9:They worship me in vain; their teachings are but rules taught by men.”

Some of us do know the scriptures and weren't not fool by those who speak about God but have no relationship with him. Don't be hypocrites. Rebuke the lying.
You can get around people, but you can't get around God.

NOW BACK TO OUR REGULAR SCHEDULED PROGRAMMING

  1. It is sad that we as a country feel the need to limit political views to one of two parties. We all need to stop insulting each others views and start respecting them. It is the petty bickering over which side is write that got us where we are today. America needs change, we all agree on that. Maybe if we Americans changed the way we treat each other and showed some respect we wouldn’t be so hated around the world.

That being said I will vote for Obama because one of the many objections I have to the McCain/Palin ticket is I do not believe that a straight pro-life ticket will result in a national law making abortion illegal. I have no problem with people being pro-life it is just when they want to force others to be that I find a moral dilemma.

  1. Sarah Palin says she believes in God. That does not sound like such a bad idea. Shes seems to be in good company since most of the founding fathers of this country did as well. Remember that the constitution says that we have the right to practice religion. Just because she belongs to a church does not mean that she is going to shove creationism down our throats. Because she is pro life means that she respects the life in the womb as most Christians believe. Just because a lot of people hate religion and God does not mean that she has to hide her beliefs to satisfy those people. If you really want an abortion go get one. The vice president most likely won't be in a position to change things as they are at this time anyway.

  1. Are you people really thinking about what you write? I've just read about 65% of these comments and a few of you don't seem to have any concern about health care, unemployment, energy crisis, mortage slump and the list goes on and on. Oh yeah, and when John McCain refered to Hillary Clintons health care plan as just "lipstick on a pig" was he being sexist? Also, the same swiftboat team that derailed McCains Presidential race are now working for him. "My friends, that's not change we can believe in."

  1. It's so sad that all the right wing wackos can do is trash Obama for a bunch of twisted half-truths and outright lies. Not once do any of these nut jobs ever make any sort of statement regarding specific policy differences between the candidates, let alone present a persuasive argument in favor of their candidate based on the issues. And they certainly can't explain how McCain or Palin will bring "change" to Washington, a theme they blatantly stole from Obama after the selection of their unqualified VP candidate. They are busy with more important things like character assassination and smear tactics. It's pathetic to read posts from so many dim-witted lemmings who will blindly run us all off a cliff with another four years of incompetence, greed, abuse of power, and pandering to the religious deep-enders. So sad...

  1. In describing Palin's popularity a recent blogger recently quoted HL Mencken: "No one ever lost money by underestimating the intelligence of the American public". How can people be taken in by this lightweight from Alaska that has no history what so ever before the American public. It is like an American Idol popularity contest- "Oh, she is so cute and so tough!". When women say they can relate to her because she is a hockey mom- does that mean that they themselves should be running for VP? Are they so dazzled by the media blitz? She has not uttered a single word in public that she has come up with on her own. Is the American public so poorly educated or so brainwashed that they cannot see who is on their side and who is making a mockery of the hard working public? People wake up, prove HL Mencken wrong. Reject the instant popularity of an unknown whose record is in fact a disgrace simply because she seems like a nice mom. Reject McCain for making a mockery of this election!

  1. I'm really getting sick of these phony outrage ads. Everyone knows it's the job of both sides to investigate the other side. Is McCain really trying to imply that his own investigators haven't been trying to dig up everything they can on Obama? Sarah Palin is a virtual unknown and the democrats would be grossly negligent if they weren't trying to find out who she really is. It makes the republicans look desperate and afraid of what people might actually find out. Obama has run a respectable and honest campaign, its too bad McCain can't do the same. When is McCain going to talk about real issues such as the the sad state of the economy and health care in this country and stop making these ridiculous ads. I guess if the issues aren't on your side all you can do is attack.

  1. besides the complete absurdity of the entire commercial... the funniest part for me was the use of wolves and the float plane imagery. especially considering the whole aerial hunting of Alaskan wolves supported by Palin. In fact, obama's "wolf" lawyers will probably be shot from planes with high powered sniper rifles before they can find any dirt on this woman. ps. she's horrible for america and mccain is gonna die in less than 6 months. not a threat. don't put me on a list... he's just so old.

  1. I can't believe John McCain, a man I respect, would intentionally parade out "Black Wolves attacking a White woman". Coupled with the new "Barack Obama, child predator" ad, it's disgusting. Praying on irrational fears of Black men being a threat to our women and children - have we really fallen this far as a nation??? John McCain is a man of honor, and not a fear monger willing to do anything to get elected. Even though both of these ads close with the obligatory “I approve this message”, he certainly can’t approve. Would he lose a nation to win an election? I think not. He needs to do the honorable thing and pull the ads. This election needs to be about who is prepared to lead, not about who is prepared to lead us into the gutter of our worst possible ingrained fears and the racist divisions of a generation ago. I have been disheartened by the ridicule and mocking of community service coming out of his campaign, while at the same time Senator McCain’s acceptance speech was calling us all to service. But this, this should not stand. Please, please, Senator McCain - restore my faith in you. Please do the right thing, the honorable thing, and get your campaign back on message.

  1. John McSilly is a treacherous sleaze bucket. The guy has no morals or scruples. Here he is, crying foul like some little sissy. Forget the fact that he said the same thing about Hillary Clinton's policies four seperate times. Forget about ALL the lies he's been saying during this campaign. I guess only he can say anything that comes to mind.

The phrase; "like putting lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig"; is a vernacular that many politicians use to describe someone trying to spin the truth. As a matter of fact, like I said, McDodo has used it several times according to his daughter Megan. So I ask all of you who are so taken aback, are you as ourtraged about McFraud's usage of this phrase? NO.

Simple minded people will find justification for him. But Obama gets no kind of grace like that, That, 'my friends, is hypocritical, with McLiar being the biggest hypocrite. You republicans crack me up with your BS. Then the McFraud campaign is demanding a apology from Obama. What a bunch of disingenuous buffoons.

This guys campaign is based on nothing but lies. He really doesn't care about the issues affecting everyone. All this fraud cares about is becoming president, by hook or by crook. That's it. Pure and simple. The amazing thing about it is that there are numbskulls stupid enough to fall for this nonsense. Apparently these morons don't care about the state of the union either. It obviously doesn't matter that this country goes down the toilet. You guys are pathetic, and so is Johnny McCrooked, the stooge

  1. Why would John McCain be outraged about Palin's record and activities being investigated? What did he think, that he can just thrust some unknown quantity on the American people and his opponent not try to find out all that he can? If Obama didn't investigate her I would think something was wrong with him.

McSilly's decision in selecting Palin shows how much McSenseless is lacking judgment. And also how desperate he is to win an election. Everybody and their grandmother knows that clown waited until he knew who Obama's VP choice was before he even seriously considered Palin. And you can pretty much bet the farm, his advisors had to twist his arm. You know McFraud had no intentions of picking this woman as his running mate. He looks so weak and feeble-minded doing this. And this is the kind of person people want to see in the White House? A weak, silly-minded, jelly-spined doltz. A guy that knows nothing about the economy and wants to start wars with Iran and Russia and whoever else wants to mix it up. Americans must be idiots or something...

Democrats have their panties in a knot because they think that Obama's campaign staff can lie but, as long as he didn't say it personally, it doesn't matter.

  1. It's just plain scary how stupid many people are. McCain is a war monger and Palin is hockey Mom of five, one with down syndrome and one a pregnant teenager. Evidently she enjoys killing other sentient beings, fits right in with the industrial military obsessions of the Republican party base. Shoot first, ask questions later.

At this point in humanities evolution all wars should be on paper, dialogue should be the basic approach to all disputes. War only when absolutely necessary. This planet can't survive more wars, more decimation of the environment, more wildlife being forced into extinction.

I can't believe anyone from anywhere is interested in voting for a McCain/Palin ticket. We need real change, a real shake up in Washington, not more of the same of what we've had over the last 8 years. We have a national debt approaching 10 trillion dollars, most of which has accumulated under Bush. You can't blame all that on the so-called war on terror or Katrina. Bank and brokerage firms are failing and jobs are being lost. Wake up people. We live under a government controlled by corporations and this is a fundamental change that must be made.

Do you really want to saddle your children, their children and even your children's children's children with a 15 or 20 trillion dollar debt? Do want to teach your kids that killing and violence are the solutions to humanities survival on this planet? If so, then vote McCain/Palin.
