Barack Obama's campaign is up this afternoon with a new TV ad trying to debunk John McCain and Sarah Palin's bid to be mavericks.

"They call themselves mavericks. Whoa. Truth is they're anything but," the announcer says in the spot.

It then argues that seven of McCain's top 10 aides are lobbyists, and that he voted with President Bush 90 percent of the time. The spot also says that Palin supported the infamous "Bridge to Nowhere" in Alaska before opposing it as governor.

"Politicians lying about their records? You don't call that maverick, you call it more of the same," the announcer concludes.
