McCain theme evokes Watergate era

GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Has John McCain finally found the perfect soundtrack for a campaign offering robust patriotism as the only salvation from an era of Republican scandal? And is he comparing the current moment to Watergate?

At a hockey arena here, McCain and Sarah Palin were introduced by a performance of "Ragged Old Flag," the spoken-word-ish title track of Johnny Cash's 1974 album. Cash's story of a weathered but defiant national symbol takes a tour of American military history, but its only acknowledgment of the political present is an apparent reference to Richard Nixon:

She's been burned, dishonored, denied and refused,
And the government for which she stands
Has been scandalized through the land

Sarah Palin and her husband do not want to testify because of the misconduct and unethical behavior while she has been in office. Why she doesn't want to testify to clear her name means she is hiding something and maybe it is because of the following facts recently found out.
1. Why would she use her own Yahoo account in public office. The government, govenors or mayors offices keeps things on tape all e-mails and calls. Maybe because she is doing unethical conduct and can't be traced.

2. In govenors and mayors offices do not allow spouses to attend meetings or have babies in the offices because of the liability and confidentality issues that go on in those offices. NO where have I ever head of any husband being able to do this in ANY offical capacity.

3. Because the McCain and RNC and some republicans are saying that he Palins husband can't testify because he is a confidant of the offical is ludacrist. He is not an elected offical or on the payroll.

What a cop out what do they have top hide? This shows me that she couldn't make decisions on her own and his using his influence on her is a big mistake this is called willful gaining in my books for teir own self importance and is not bipartisian in the affairs for Alaska.

4. In all governments and offical offices you would be under an ethics committee for charging "per diem" to stay home. Thats unethicalbehavior to her oath of office of waste and abuse. She claims to be all honjest and ethical we call it unethical in our books.

5. She fires Mr. Richter not because of his performance it was because she didn't like their personnel relationships that was going on so she canned him. They were "close buddies". If it was performance where is all the write ups.

6. Unethical behavior is what she did and abuse of power when she pulled personnel files and let the inquiry take its course. I have never hear of anyone that could pull those stings and she and her husband was on a vendetta.

7. Look at her record of lies of not traveling inside Iraq not have any expierence she claims the bridge to no where was what she did but funneled the money some where else which I might was "pork barrel" money she got 28 million of it for Alaska. She also has Alaska in a law suit for land she shouldn't of taken.

8. What about her abuse of power and her firing of people along the way, if it doesn't work for Sarah then she fires them look at her history of doing that.

9. Sell a plane on e-bay now the guy wants $50,000 more for repairs on that plane she sold on e-bay to nowhwere statement - she claims to have bailed Alaska out of the waste. I call the incompetency not a savings.

10. And oh please Sarah religion or God doesn't want our troops to stay in Iraq how dare you even say such a crazy thing.Yougonna tell the mothers and fathers that straight in the face.

11. Shame on Mccain for caving into the "christian right" and thinking that he can get more votes by pulling in an incompetent, unethical, abusive powered female Sarah Palin. I am indepdendent and know even that these facts she touts are all ies.Saraha has demonstarted she is in no way a Hilary. What was McCain thinking he was desperate.

12. The best thing she could do is step down and McCain cut your loses. If McCain keeps on insisting that the "financial institutions are sound" and she also then they both should step down. We the american people are Not stupid!
