Palin won't be at Iran protest, either
Organizers of an anti-Iran rally Monday outside the United Nations have disinvited Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin as well.
"In order to keep the focus on Iranian threats and to ensure that this critical message not be obscured, the organizers of the rally have decided not to have any American political personalities appear," the organizers, who include several Jewish groups, said this afternoon.
The protest is against the presence of Iranian President Ahmadinejad at the United Nations and Iran's nuclear weapons program. "We take most seriously his threat to wipe the United States and Israel “off the map” and believe the world leaders gathered at the United Nations must act with resolve to prevent a nuclear armed Iran that would be a threat to this country, Israel and the world," the organizers, calling themselves the National Coalition to Stop Iran Now, said in their statement.
They had invited Palin and Hillary Clinton, but Clinton pulled out Wednesday when her aides discovered Palin would be there.

So now it's "wipe USA and Israel from the map" Geez, Americans are so incredibly gulliglble they'll believe anything.
If Ahmadinejad were truly hostile to Jews or Judaism, or harbored genocidal designs against the Jewish people, as the Zionist propaganda machine keeps telling us, he would start with tens of thousands of Iranian Jewish citizens who enjoy religious and civil freedoms and are represented in the Iranian parliament.
WASHINGTON — Sen. Chuck Hagel of Nebraska is the nation's most prominent Republican officeholder to publicly question whether Sarah Palin has the experience to serve as president.
"She doesn't have any foreign policy credentials," Hagel said Wednesday in an interview. "You get a passport for the first time in your life last year? I mean, I don't know what you can say. You can't say anything."
Palin was elected governor of Alaska in 2006 and before that was the mayor of a small town.
Democrats have raised questions about Palin since Sen. John McCain picked her as his vice presidential running mate. Most national Republican officeholders have rallied to Palin's candidacy.
Palin has cited the proximity of Alaska to Russia as evidence of her international experience.
Hagel scoffed at that notion.
"I think they ought to be just honest about it and stop the nonsense about, 'I look out my window and I see Russia and so therefore I know something about Russia,'" he said. "That kind of thing is insulting to the American people."
James you are an idiot.
James,
It is not the religion of the Jews that Ahmadinejad hates, it the state of Israel that they hate. They do not want a non-muslim state in there little world. To have a non-muslim state means they would not have a lock on the oil, even though there is very little oil in Isreal. Israel was forced down the Arabs throats by the British then the United Nations and the Arab/Muslim states have resented that since. They have been trying to wipe Israel off the map for Decades. Israel has not done itself any favors either. They have little tolerance (until this lates generation of Israelites) for Arab people and never treated them with basic respect.
Iran has done itself no favors and it is no innocent victim in this eithier. They harbor terrorist, have no respect for the rights of women and no ablity to deal with a global world that is moving beyond them. Personally I would love to just build a gaint wall around Iran and not let any one in or out. They can live there and the rest of the world can go one with out them.
I'm sorry Chuck Hagel but we like Sarah Palin very much and we will do all that we can to put her in the White House. We like her probem solving skills much better than what we've got right now in the hill.Ah! that foreign affairs experience question you people keep asking,is there an exam for that? Isn't she a running mate for John Mccain that has a lot of that(foreign affairs experiences) plus we have a state deparment that have people with those skills.
"They do not want a non-muslim state in there little world." James Stevenson
"Their little world?" Preposterous.
Iran does not have a problem with any state or country being "non muslim." They certainly do not have any differences with India which is non muslim.
The main objection Iran has with Israel pertains to the treatment- or mistreatment- of the Palestinian people. Five million of them are living in refugee camps, unemployment is at 50% and squalor is all around them. Most Palestinians are not terrorists in any way. They want the same things as other people around the world.
Remember, Iran elected a democratic government which was secularly based in 1953. The United States sent in the CIA to promote a military coup and put the ruthless Shah in power. We only want democracy when we can control its leaders.
There are always at least two sides to any dispute. Bombing your opponents as John McCain likes to sing in his bomb, bomb, bomb Iran song is not the answer.
Iranians are not evil, just as Jews and Palestinians are not evil. The power interests that have thrived on hate and division must be exposed. That can only be done by open communication and negotiation. War will never solve anything.
Wow...the democrats would choose Iran over allowing Sarah to appear at a Anti-Iran rally. What does that tell you? The need for power is more than a need for the security of Isreal or the US.
How sad it is that the Democrat Party resorts to choosing ISLAM over the USA. Like the blacks, Jews do not know who really supports them. Lets start with the blacks........(Negros to southern democrats). In the 60's, the Civil Rights Act was proposed. Who was against it?........democrats. Who got it passed? Republicans. Ok, now lets talk about the Jewish state. Who supported it, republicans. Who does not support it.......Bill Clinton, Jimmy Carter (the idiot from the south)...and yet...NY jews back Hillary and Chuck...and it is the democrats who support the Palistinians, want talks with Iran and even consider Hamas a political voice.
Ok, sheep...follow Obama Yomama, Carter, Clinton's........... Let's see how you are when you have ONE newspaper printed in San Francisco, no free radio talk, mandated classes for your children and your income is dictated by the State.
Welcome to 1960's Russia.............................
