Well, John McCain has at least one vote, though not necessarily the one he wants.

The Associated Press reports that President Bush, who is highly unpopular and who McCain has taken pains to distance himself from, cast an early vote for the Republican today.

In past elections, the president and first lady Laura Bush have traveled to Texas to vote, but the White House said they cast their ballots to be sent back to Texas. The White House also said the president and Laura Bush plan to be at the White House on election night.

Speaking of Bush and McCain, "Saturday Night Live" did a hilarious spoof Thursday night of McCain's skittishness to accept the president's full support.
