Divided loyalties?
The Republican ticket might want to get on the same page before the American League Championship Series starts on Friday.
Last week, John McCain called the Red Sox his "sentimental favorite" to win the World Series, since his hometown Diamondbacks failed to make the playoffs.
But today in Florida, his running mate Sarah Palin gushed about Monday's division series clinching win for Boston's next playoff foe.
"How about those Tampa Bay Rays?" Palin said in Jacksonville. "That was good, that was good."
"You know what that tells me, it tells me that the people in this area know a little something about turning an underdog into a victor," she said. "And we're counting on you to help us do that Nov. 4th."
McCain is closely contesting both Florida and New Hampshire, a key outpost of Red Sox Nation, with Democrat Barack Obama.

Just proves she'll say anything for a vote and not mean it. Same with McCain. He's pandering to Boston folks. If he was loyal, he'd stick with his National League. The guy is all over the map, literally.
wow, must be really short on political stuff today. complete non-story.
Maybe someone should tell Ms Palin that Tampa Bay was not the underdog in the ALDS. Chicago was the underdog! She can't even "pander" and get it right!
John Mccain and Sarah Palin must do all they can to protect this country from the terrorist representative that is running for the Democrat Party ticket and his name is Barrack Hussein Obama.I feel sorry for Joe Biden being picked by the terrorist to be his running mate.
Obama is a great orator and speech giver. What I am still trying to figure out is what important things has he accomplished that lets me know that he has the character and judgement to handle the job of President. His associations with a terriorist, convicted chicago wheeler and dealer, a preacher who does not like America, as a minimum, raises questions about his judgement. Based on who will have the most influence on him if he is elected President makes him the scarriest candidate every to run for President.
I believe that he has a hidden adgenda that may not be what the average american wants.
Also, please vote for Obama if you want to deal with Federal regulations in getting health care. Federal regulations written by the same bureaucrats that wrote the tax code. Did you think that there would be Federal universal health care without Federal regulations?
