The size of this voting bloc might not be huge, but at this point in the presidential race, the campaigns are seeking any edge.

John McCain's campaign today announced the formation of New Hampshire Snowmobilers for John McCain and Sarah Palin, trying to capitalize on Palin's husband's status as an accomplished snowmobile racer in Alaska.

"The most important issue for snowmobilers is maintaining our access to public lands, and on this issue John McCain and Sarah Palin best understand our needs," Tom Thomson, state chairman of the new group, said in a statement. "John McCain has a long, proven record of promoting multiple use on public lands, and Governor Palin, married to a world champion snowmobiler, has a better sense of these issues than any other candidate."

Over the weekend, Todd Palin visited the New Hampshire Grass Drags and Water Cross in Fremont and started the first race.
