McCain: I'll take that dare
John McCain will apparently take the dare.
After his campaign began attacking Democratic rival Barack Obama over his ties with 1970s terrorist William Ayers, McCain did not raise the issue during the presidential debate last week.
Afterwards, Obama told ABC News that he was surprised McCain didn't bring it up face to face. Obama's running mate, Joe Biden, was more direct, almost baiting McCain.
"John McCain could not bring himself to look Barack Obama in the eye and say the same things to him,” Biden told a campaign crowd. “In my neighborhood, you got something to say to a guy, you look him in the eye and you say it to him.“
Asked about the comments, McCain retorted that he had never been afraid to challenge someone; he said the town-hall format of last week's debate didn't lend itself to the Ayers issue.
Today, McCain said the dares almost guarantee the subject will come up Wednesday night for the last debate.
"I was astonished to hear him say that he was surprised I didn’t have the guts" to mention Ayers, McCain told a St. Louis radio station.

News from the Washington Bureau

To those of you who did not had a taste of socialism and expropriation of your earnings. Here is what awaits us under Comrade Obama regime. Sock the rich and you'll get tax cut. Right. Here are the facts. Think how it'll apply to you. Send it to everyone you know. Especially in Ohio, Maryland, Iowa, Idaho, Michigan, Nebraska, Florida, Minnesota, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Main and other states.
Obama is a socialist and selling us a bag of goods that will ruin our country and our lives.
=========================================================
INCOME TAX
MCCAIN (no changes) Single making 30K - tax $4,500 Single making 50K - tax $12,500 Single making 75K - tax $18,750 Married making 60K- tax $9,000 Married making 75K - tax $18,750 Married making 125K - tax $31,250
OBAMA (reversion to pre-Bush tax cuts) Single making 30K - tax $8,400 Single making 50K - tax $14,000 Single making 75K - tax $23,250 Married making 60K - tax $16,800 Married making 75K - tax $21,000 Married making 125K - tax $38,750 Under Obama, your taxes could almost double! (This is the mother of them all. Even if ALL that you have in your life is your job you'll be paying more, more, more.....)
CAPITAL GAINS TAX
MCCAIN 0% on home sales up to $500,000 per home (couples). McCain does not propose any change in existing home sales income tax.
OBAMA 28% on profit from ALL home sales. (This will kill property investment).
DIVIDEND TAX
MCCAIN 15% (no change)
OBAMA 39.6% - How will this affect you? If you have any money invested in stock market, IRA, mutual funds, college funds, life insurance, retirement accounts, or anything that pays or reinvests dividends, you will now be paying nearly 40% of the money earned on taxes if Obama becomes president. The experts predict that 'Higher tax rates on dividends and capital gains would crash the stock market, yet do absolutely nothing to cut the deficit.' (If the market get crashed economy will get crashed. Millions, perhaps you as well, will be out of jobs.)
INHERITANCE TAX
MCCAIN - 0% (No change, Bush repealed this tax)
OBAMA Restore the inheritance tax
OMG......Obama "palling around with terrorists?" If so, the U.S. Senate doesn't conduct very thorough background checks.
Come on people.
A Republican and a Democrat were walking down the street when they came to a homeless person. The Republican gave the homeless person his
business card and told him to come to his factory to apply for a job. He then took twenty dollars out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless person.
The Democrat was very impressed, and when they came to another homeless person, he decided to help.
He walked over to the homeless person and gave him directions to the welfare office. He then reached into the Republican's pocket and got out twenty dollars. He kept 15 for administrative fees and gave the homeless person five.
Now you understand the difference between Republicans and Democrats.
If Obama wins the election, here is what I expect of all you right-wingers:
You shall support your President, your Commander in Chief, no matter what. This is what you have been telling me I am supposed to do with W. Bush. Salute the office. Support the duly elected President.
That is what I will expect from all you "country-first" republicans and right-wingers. Country First means you support our democratically elected President. Period.
Who will lead this country for the next four years?.....Obama's response....let ACORN DECIDE!
How can you tell a republican is lying? Their lips are moving (or in the case of these posts, their fingers are typing). Half of what I see posted here are just the same old debunked lies touted by the McCain/Palin duo on the stump and spewed out by Republican sycophants like FoxNews. You people need to try Factcheck.org and Polit08.com. These are independent fact checking sites that hold no partisan sway. Educate yourselves a little before regurtating all the lies the Republicans are spoon feeding you. In the least you won’t be repeating proven falsehoods and ever lowing all our opinions of you. I have no problem with having a good political debate about policy and fact. Why do you republicans back away from this type of confrontation but you will say anything you can think of to try and disparage a person’s character? As the polls reflect America is sick of this type of dishonest campaigning and fear mongering...hmm, come to think of it...keep it up! please!!!!!
Eve Ross: You are looney! You know not what you say! Deadbeats? I donate more every year to charity than you'll make in a lifetime! Ignorant people make ignorant remarks. If this label fits wear it with it with pride! You are intellectually on the same level or below Sarah Palin. You are so blinded with racism and hate that you cannot accept reality! On November 5th, a new President will be elected ending eight years of a failed Presidency by a mediocre individual, George W. Bush. This country has had enough of mediocrity! We need an Administration with brains, education and intellectual capacity! BTW, did you know that Rush Limbaugh dropped out of SW Missouri State University? Dropped out! He couldn't even finish a third tier university!
Eve Ross, before you go calling people dumb, might I point out that either A. your keyboard is broken, or B. you're too dumb to know how to operate a keyboard.
I'm in IT, so I've honed the ability to spot idiocy from a mile away, and you Eve are today's ID 10 T award winner.
That was likely the scene in one gamer’s living room this week, as he spotted a virtual billboard for the Obama campaign during an online session of the racing game Burnout Paradise on the XBox 360
wow he has so much money to spend he has to put his face out ona gaming channel.what a crock. going after the kids. this man will not stop puting his face anywhere.. look i am everywhere
Tom, I'd like to thank you for your post. People throwing around those terms like Rush Limbaugh parrots has been under my skin for weeks now. It's too bad that the Larrys and Eves of the nation probably won't listen.
Funny how the Republicans label Ayer a terrorist. He did not kill anyone, and is now a respected professor. He also is affiliated with The Annenberg Foundation which is funded by Republicans and has doled out serious dollars to
George W. Bush $4000
Mitt Romney $5000
Strom Thurmond $1000
Fred Thompson $500
Rick Santorum $3000
Rick Santorum-- former Republican Senator. Received $3000 from Ayers' backers.
So in actuality he is a non-issue, and what he did 30 plus years ago is irrellevent since he is a free man, and has friends in both parties. McCain is just trying to go down kicking and screaming since it has become painfully obvious he has no substance and he chose a running mate that has no business being 2nd in line to the most powerful position in the world. Obama will win and win big. Will he make our country better? Who knows, I give it a 50/50. At least he is acting like a leader.
McCain needs to devote the time to ACRON, and that connection. Why Obama gave a Company under investigation for fraud for $800,000. Why he defended ACRON against Illinois, when they were under a fraud invesitgation. Obama cannot continue to be a potted plant, and ignore the connection with ACRON, this is serious, and too many tax dollars are given to this fradulant company. HOW do they get tax dollars in the millions under a fraud investigations in several states?? The connection with Ayers, Wright, and others could be forgiven as bad judgment. However, ACRON cannot be a bad judgment call.
New York Times Spins Obama Muslim Ties
Monday, October 13, 2008 10:12 PM
Article Font Size
The New York Times on Monday offered its own spin about the questions raised about Barack Obama and his ties to the Muslim faith.
The Times pinned the blame on this "persistent falsehood" about Obama on an Illinois man named Andy Martin.
In a story headlined "The Man Behind the Whispers About Obama," the paper said Martin had singlehandedly fomented the claim that “Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion.”
The paper also claimed Martin had a past psychiatric illness and had made anti-Semitic statements.
But the Times ignored the allegations by many others that Obama is hiding his upbringing as a Muslim.
Notable is Daniel Pipes, a respected Mideast expert and scholar who has a distinguished record in policy matters.
While accepting Obama's claim that he converted to Christianity in his 20s, Pipes says Obama has been "lying" when he says he was never raised a Muslim and never attended a mosque. [See: Pipes: Obama Is Lying About Muslim Past]
Obama was born to a Muslim father. His mother remarried to an Indonesian man, also a Muslim.
In Indonesia, Obama was registered in two schools as a Muslim student. As such, he prayed with Muslim students and studied the Koran.
The Times downplays Obama's ties to Islam in its account: "Mr. Obama was raised mostly by his white mother, an atheist, and his grandparents, who were Protestant, in Hawaii. He hardly knew his father, a Kenyan from a Muslim family who variously considered himself atheist or agnostic, Mr. Obama wrote. For a few childhood years, Mr. Obama lived in Indonesia with a stepfather he described as loosely following a liberal Islam."
As Pipes notes, several reports like the Times' have only confirmed that not only was Obama raised partially as a Muslim, but that he studied the Koran and attended mosque, albeit infrequently.
On Pipe's blog he links to a Los Angeles story that details Obama's Muslim upbringing. [See the Los Angeles Times story: Islam an Unknown Factor in Obama Bid]
Major media outlets that have done in-depth reporting on Sarah Palin's religious past and faith seem dismissive of any question about Obama's childhood faith and the fact that evidence directly contradicts claims today made by Obama and his campaign.

Hey Eve, before calling Americans dumb, you may want to run a spell and grammar check. This is why no one takes you seriously.
I am curious to know why people don't trust Obama. I don't get it. Do you think his intention is to ruin this country by making it a communist nation. Do you think he wants socialism? I am in my 20's and I am sure I don't know all about whats going on with the economy and the effect it will have on our everyday lives but I do believe I have some common sense. When I watch these debates, I keep an open-mind and refuse to judge before anything is said. Saying that, it just seems that John McCain is the wrong person to lead our country. He seems scared and to be honest, a scum-bag. Where is the same guy that we saw 8 years ago preaching against Bush? Sure, Obama might not have the experience we desire but that has to be thrown out the window once you bring up Palin. Talk about inexperienced. All I am saying is that we need a strong presence in the White House to give hope to the people all around the county. McCain just doesn't seem to want that. He seems to be doing this because it is his time. Obama comes off as a person that will make a decision because he truly believes that decision will put us in the correct position to succeed. Dr. Martin Luther King said; " Every man must decide whether he will walk in the light of creative altruism or in the darkness of destructive selfishness." You tell me who best fits that?
I will leave you with another Dr. King quote that hopefully sums everything up; "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase."
Geese, none of you Obama people can really be taken seriously except by yourselves and each other. You are so blinded by rage with Bush that you will buy anything that comes out of Obama's mouth without question. McCain isn't running a very good campaign, but he's no Bush (notwithstanding the constant and ridiculous mantra from Obama) and he is the only one of the two candidates that could possibly be considered "bipartisan." Does anyone really believe that Obama is going to "reach across" any aisles if he is president? Obama has already divided this country along class lines. If he is elected, watch the businesses (that are still left in this country) run for cover overseas. We will end up a poor, largely, socialist nation, weak economically and weak militarily. Does anyone realize that the Democrats are poised to control the Executive and Legislative branches of government and that they will be in a position to pass any laws that they want to, unopposed? And this with ultra-left leadership in the Senate and House. That should give those of us who are independents at least a bit of pause before pulling the handle for Obama-Biden.
"Pa", you dope. "Barry" was High School short for "Barack". It was never his last name, which has always been "Obama". What a dolt you are.
It is simple.
You are suggesting Obama is friends with terrorists non-stop at your rallies.
You didn't have the guts to do it to his face.
Palin and McCain are pussies.
Obama and Biden are right to call them little punk ass bitches.
I mean, I know he is a war hero, but to wait until the guy is out of the room to make such charges ... THAT is cowardly. Sorry, republicans, SAY it to his face, you little wussies. If you believe it say it at the debate..
Look more ignorant American confusing Communism with Socialism. Despite what the public school systems have brainwashed you to believe communism and socialism do not always coincide. In other words you can have one without the other. You can have socialism with democracy and benefit the majority. For example look at the success of the Euro and the Yen. Both are socialistic currencies that are worth more than the dollar. Please research terms before you start throwing them around as scare tactics and hate statements.
Quick question Pa and this is very important. Where can I get collage friends?
Poor goofy McCain. He'll try to light up a petard and it'll explode in his face.
#53 ".....Major media outlets that have done in-depth reporting on Sarah Palin's religious past and faith seem dismissive of any question about Obama's childhood faith.........."
Listen to yourself......childhood faith? No one takes you seriously when you're going to investigate what a candidate did in their childhood. How childish is that?
BTW, if YouTube is investigative reporting.....
What exactly did Rev Wight say that was so hateful? That 911 was our fault? Big deal Jerry Falwell said it too. In fact that was the only statement Jerry Falwell ever made that I actually agreed with. Do you really think that going into other peoples country and telling them how to live and what religion to practice shouldn’t merit a reaction? We asked for it by sticking our noses in another country’s business. We have our own problems that need fixing before we can try to fix the rest of the world. “Look to thin own eye first”.
Let the games begin!
McCain-you were once respected.......now you are just rejected!
Palin is a disgrace and an embarassment to educated women across the world.
OBAMA/BIDEN 08
Dave I think you are the one to talk about reading before running your mouth. If you read the findings then you will notice that it states Sarah Palin was found guilty of ethical violations by abusing her power. Whether it is criminal or not is not as important is a VP candidate that abuses her power and swears to invoke more power to the VP if she is elected.
All Ayers did was blow up some school? Wow, have our standards sunk that low?
Oh, and he also said that he wish he did more...
Obama has you brain washed so wake up and smell the future.
The wall street mess will be behind us in a 6 months so we need a strong leader to run our country and keep it strong
The "William Ayers" tactic was so stupid I think it shows that McCain is scrapping the bottom of the dirty tricks barrel. Would someone tell John that voters care about the economy and jobs and not some hippie from the 60's? And while you're at it would you tell Sarah to just keep her mouth shut... on second thought let her keep talking. Palin is like a secret weapon for Obama.
I wonder if Obama has lied about his religion if he can be impeached after he gets into office? Something to think about!
What's cowardly is posting to a board calling Senator, soon to be President , McCain and Gov. Palin names. And I'm sure if you said such things to THEIR face they would knock your, to use your vernacular, punk ass out, especially Gov. Palin. But your tact and class is implicit in your language.
BTW Yoda. Currently the Euro is tumbling against the dollar and the Yen consistently even. And in the world markets the dollar is still king. Maybe YOU should do some research.
Socialism and Communism may not always coincide but neither are they always mutually exclusive, bottom line neither has any place in the United States Of America.
McCain's economic ideas benefit those with whom he is familiar: the upper tier of the upper class. Withdrawal of IRA money at 59 with lower tax rate? Great if you have a sizable IRA at age 59. Who has that? Those who need a bit extra for the boat payment? Lowering capital gains taxes for stock selling? It's a terrible idea to encourage more stock sell-offs and profit taking gambling behavior in the market. Really bad idea. A tax on stock trading would be a good idea: Income to offset the bailout and discouraging speculation/short term stock trading which destabilizes the stock market. And the third idea of eliminating taxes on unemployment benefits - small, tiny potatoes. If you're getting unemployment, 10% more is helpful, but not a solution by any means.
I think the church issue with Wright was to throw us all off
“Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion.”
Everybody..... it's over.
IT'S OVER.
The money has already spoken. Go look at any election futures market and you'll see that the spread between Obama and McCain is ENORMOUS. Go look at intrade.com for example.
Go vote on election day, help your neighbor out somehow, smile at a stranger, and get on with your lives. These last 8 years have been a nightmare and we all need to start growing beyond the us vs. them mentality that BushCo used to divide and conquer. You're an American, and I'm an American. We're going to need to work together.
Ewwwwwww... scary... now we'll get to see the Angry John McCain !
I can hardly wait.
"You kids get off my lawn ! - You hear me ? - Off my Lawn !"

Why would America REWARD complete Republican failure ?
We wont
GB, a former FBI agent who prosecuted Weathermen wrote a letter to the NYT that reads:
"As the lead federal prosecutor of the Weathermen in the 1970s (I was then chief of the criminal division in the Eastern District of Michigan and took over the Weathermen prosecution in 1972), I am amazed and outraged that Senator Barack Obama is being linked to William Ayers’s terrorist activities 40 years ago when Mr. Obama was, as he has noted, just a child.
Although I dearly wanted to obtain convictions against all the Weathermen, including Bill Ayers, I am very pleased to learn that he has become a responsible citizen."
Andy Martin is a racist, anti-Semite, has criminal complaints out against him in the State of Florida, and borderline personality issues so apparent he was denied access to the Illinois bar. This man was given a forum on Fox news to spout his paranoid theories about Senator Obama that have NO basis fact. I can't understand how people are so desperate that they can spin that and claim the Times is being biased when the are printing know facts about this man Martin, while Martin is only presenting conjecture and outright lies. Annenberg was founded by a Regan Republican. And I read this morning and God help me I can't find it now, but many prominent people have served on committees with, had dinners with, studied under, Bill Ayers. Are all these people guilty by association? Do some research about Annenberg and Acorn that don't focus on the last four weeks, from even years ago and educate yourself to the so-called "nefarious" intent of these organizations.
If McCain brings up this 'false' Ayers connection to Obama he is going to open a huge can of worms on his shady past connections to Keating, of course who gave him the use of his house on an island and the serious ties he had with the ultra-right-wing death squads in Central America in the 1980s (US Council for Freedom) who were also linked to former Nazi collaborators.
His name was actually on the list of board members on the letterhead until the late 1980's.. And correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he was 8 years old as Obama was when Ayers was a radical against the Vietnam War so he should have been able to use adult common sense.
A side note: Ayers who is not a friend of Obama's (proven fact) was vindicated, but Keating was found guilty and went to prison, but wait there's more. Another friend if his went to prison, also (Gordon Liddy)..
So clear out the cobwebs in your head McCain before you get the can opener...
Heaven forbid the debate should focus on real issues...
The real issue with Ayers, Acorn and Wright is that each time Obama tried to downplay the association. Some examples:
1. Asked about Ayers, Obama replied that he was a guy in his neighborhood. - Reality - served on Chicago Annanberg Challenge and attended campaign kickoff in Ayers in home.
2. Asked about association with Acorn. Denied working or hiring them. Reality, defended Acorn, paid them $832,000 for get out the vote actions in primary elections. (Worth noting that Obama and campaign initally tried to shade this as services but finally confessed that is was get out the vote work when pressed with evidence.)
3. Denied he knew of Rev. Wrights strong radical and racial inflamatory sermons. Reality, when it was rubbed in his face he repudiated and distanced himself from Rev. Wright.
In each case, Obama shaded the truth (PC version) or lied. He creates a false impression. Do we want a liar for President? We weren't happy with Bush 9Bush lied!) and now we want to give a Democrat equal time to lie.
I'm not thrilled with McCain and his negative ads but lying to me doesn't get my vote.
McCain will only hurt himself wasting good debate time on these distractions. Besides, Obama's well armed with the Keating Five documentary and facts, which are enough in themselves and don't even need any campaign polishing. Stay on the good side of the Truth-O-Meter and let McCain once again demonstrate his reckless disregard and extremely poor judgment.
GB,
Your analysis is wrong, because your data are wrong. Obama's plan and Bush's tax cut reversal are not the same thing.
Please resubmit after you correct your whoppers
I think Obama should ask Mc Cain if the name "songbird" means anything to him.
If he wants to know more just go to Google and type in Mc Cain military record.
If McCain decides he needs to pick a fight over an issue this minor, what happens if he's president and Hugo Chavez disses us?
The reason this doesnt bother a lot of people about Ayers is because they have the same belief system as Obama. If you dont like America stand on a Flag. Most of you will get it one day. The only problem with Palin she is a white a women and believes in God. No America isnt what it once was and if you believe Obama you will believe anything. The last time we had a major tax increase on payroll I had an idoit that voted for it came to me and asked why he had less in his pay check. I had to explain they lied to him about taxes and he voted for it. This government is completly broke but the politicians didnt do it. The people voted it in.
@ Sam - Palin's political aspirations? Are you kidding me? After exposing herself as completely clueless, she'll be luck to win a city council position.
While jobs go overseas and people lose their homes, the economy is being flushed down the toilet. McCain in order to "change the subject" wants to turn the debate in a Jerry Springer show. If Obama falls for it, if we fall for this, shame on us. We get the leaders we deserve, don't cha know. Gosh, darn it - I can see Putin's hear over the Bering Strait, doggone it.
That sucking sound Wall Street and Haliburton draining the U.S. Treasury.
I have a question for the debate: "What have you morons done with my money and my children's future?" And the answer better not be, "Let me tell you a story about a sixties radical."
I don't know how anyone can criticise The Messiah. So what if he has one suspicious America-hating character after another after another in his current circle of pals. It's just like calling him a liar when he says he's going to add 950 *billion* dollars of new welfare spending and not raise taxes. It's not possible. But if you point that out, then you're just a big old meanie!
Just reading through the comments preceding this one, makes me realize how strongly people can hold opinions without doing their own thinking.
I am gratified, though, to see the abject terror in the hearts of the ignoramuses at the likelihood that Obama will be our Commander-in-Chief.
Here’s what it all comes down to
— A story on Bloomberg says, “Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) — Barack Obama is likely to pick up 364 Electoral College votes, far surpassing the 270 needed to claim the presidency, . . . ”
Meanwhile, the National Journal says: “Barack Obama now leads the Hotline’s Electoral College projection with 361 EVs to John McCain’s 177 EVs. On Fri., Obama led 349 EVs to 180 EVs, while 9 EVs were toss-up.
Even more striking than Obama’s 184 EV overall lead is his total among solid states. The Dem nominee holds a 297-143 EV edge in states where a candidate has a statistically significant advantage. Obama crosses the 270 EV threshold necessary for election without even accounting for states he leads within the margin of error.”
The National Journal, by the way, is “the leading source of nonpartisan reporting on the current political environment and emerging policy trends”
I guess John is just going to have to be mad. In fact, I think John is mad — as in crazy mad.
Those idiots who call Pelosi Reid and Obama Socialists need to study some history and political science. What make them socialists? Wanting to fund public education? (like we have done in the US for a century) Public parks? (like Teddy Roosevelt). Show me one proposal that Obama has made that is Socialist.
If anything the Bush crowd including McCain is socialist. they are nationalizing the banks right now-even healthy banks. They are subsidising energy companies even ones that are making record profits. If you give the people (who pay the most taxes) even a penny in assistance then it's Socialism but it's not socialism to let the corporations and war profiteers pig out at the US treasury..!! wake up America!
For some bizarre reason, John Mccain cannot see reality. He sets a course---an ill-chosen one---and then stubbornly and foolishly plays it out, even when he must KNOW that he looks the fool. That foolhardy arrogance alone is reason enough to reject him for the presidency. He is indeed JUST LIKE BUSH.
He seems determined to destroy his own reputation and his bid. Obama will NOT be bothered by this line of attack. He iwll be prepared and Mccain is not going to like the response he gets. What a stubborn obtuse fool he is becoming.
HOW COULD THE REPUBLICANS POSSIBLY WIN WITH THE WAY THEY SCREWED UP THE COUNTRY THE LAST EIGHT YEARS OTHER THAN WITH A CROOKED ELECTION?
How come the majority of comments on this article by McCain supporters seem to be written by 3rd graders who don't understand grammar, sentence structure, or spelling? Seems a little too common to be a coincidence...
Looking at this stream of comments I conclude that there is a single individual, probably male, who can neither spell, capitalize, nor form a complete sentence. He (possibly She) posts comments under a variety of (typically) female names. What an idiot.
The reason it seems like baiting is because it is! McCain would be a fool to bring up Ayers. He will be slaughtered. Not only on the Keating thing, but Palin and Alaska trying to seperate from the US (sounds like a proud American to me) and endorsing that until 2006, i believe. Also, a board member of ACORN contributed $1500 to McCain. I guess he is supported by terrorists too.
How many of you are familiar with the fable of the Augean Stables? The story goes like this: Augeas was the king of Elis. His stables housed the greatest number of cattle in the country and had never been cleaned until the hero Hercules came along. One of the tasks given to him was to clean out the stables in a single day. It is enough to say that the stables contained an unbelievable amount of manure. Hercules succeeded by rerouting two rivers to wash out the filth. (Wikipedia- Augeas). What is needed is a modern Hercules to wash out the filth that has accumulated over the last few decades. Obama can do that!!
To Frank, comment #18:
So they are wearing anti-Palin shirts, who does that hurt?
At least, unlike McCain/Palin supporters they aren't shouting "kill him".
If anyone is supporting violence, it's the McCain/Palin people. It is THEY who are whipping crowds into a frenzy, not Obama.
Funny that this column is named "Political Intelligence"...
How can anyone who lived through just the past three months -- let alone the last six years of war and fiscal irresponsibility bordering on treason -- be taken seriously with an argument that Barak Obama will "harm our country"? The man's life is an open book -- literally a best-seller.
The Clinton's couldn't bring him down, for crying out loud. He's a brilliant, Harvard-educated man who understands where the future is: high-tech, diverse and global.
Boy, that Mr. Obama is really a scary. I guess having someone who's not Karl Rove leading the country again is a problem for Rush Limbaugh's audience.
Q: Why didn't Obama put his adopted name on his law paper app.?
A: Who gives a crap?
Q: What were his connections with Aires when he was 8 years old?
A: Are you people retarded? Aires was an activist guilty of vandalism. Who cares?
Oh I'm sorry Pallin just "abused her power." --not a crime or anything. That makes it OK sheesh.
MPallinBots are completely retarded. Hey she's got foreign policy experience though cause Alaska's close to Russia!
And don't you guys know that "McCain" sounds like "McVeigh," a domestic terrorist who killed women and children?
At least Obama's running mate never wanted to succeed from America. At least he knows how many friggin houses he ownes! At least he doesn't think we need illegal aliens to work on farms. It takes more than wearing a made-in-China lapel pin to run the country. Morons.
EVE ROSS said...`I CANNOT BELIEVE HOW DUMB THE AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE BECAME."
Lol....and your'e the proof honey. First...why don't you use spell checker...spell check is a good thing. Second...it was ignorant people like yourself that voted Bush into office...who with his corrupt Republican friends have totally destroyed this country.
Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. We will hold Republicans and all those unconscious, shallow, flag waving idiots that voted for them accountable on Nov 4th. Good bye GOP and Good Riddance.
I don't understand how people can say the Obama, Pelosi, and Reid is a frightening combination of politicians. Have you all been asleep over the past 8 years? We still don't have a straight answer about Iraq. John voted for it with all of his great miliary judgement. How can you trust someone to lead a country when he can't even keep his eyes focused on the person who planned the mass murder of thousands of Americans?
That is inexcusable and Bush & Cheney should be impeached for that and McCain should be ashamed of himself for associating with a person who made such a terrible desicion. 4000 plus lives wasted for what?
Can anyone tell me?
Has anyone thought of this solution to the economy: the next president appoint a commission to locate the CEOs who brought the economy down with their dishonesty and fine them to compensate the government for this bailout? No taxes need be raised and the $700 billion would be paid off.
GB, do your initials stand for "Genetic 'Bomination?" Just wondering.
" I think this stretch of the campaign must be devoted to teaching the ignorant in America, including so called journalists, about Obama, about the real Obama. The thought of pelosi, reid, and obama running this country is offensive and frightening. With the current finacial situation, we can be sure such a hard leftist trio will revert to their natural state of being - communism and dictatorships. "
so lets have another 4 years of bush
Hey, look what I came up with :
"CHICAGO - Barack Hussein Obama's new chief of staff, Abdul Ben Chabilood, said today that the next President of the United States wanted a city named after him.
- 'We're in talks with Democratic party representatives in a couple of medium sized cities to put this as an extra on the ballot, God willing.' Mr. Chabilood said. 'We all think Obama, Nebraska would sound very good.'
Told that such an endeavor might raise a lot of opposition, Mr. Chabilood made a cutting gesture with his hand, almost dropping his worry beads.
- 'Then President Obama will issue a fatwa. That is all.'
This reporter was then escorted out of Mr. Obama's campaign headquarters."
I made it all up, of course, but I'm going to park it on a couple of right wing sites just to see if it bounces back. This might be good for a few giggles... especially if some trailer thrash pinhead blurts it out at one of their town hall meetings!
These people, after all, will believe ANYTHING!
Let's not forget that G.Gordon Liddy debaucle which is a link to another disgraced
Repu Pres.Nixon who had to leave the presidency after his shameful VP Agnew in abyssmal and profound disgrace! MCCain voted against the MLK national holiday and only wanted to offer a flimsy apology in exchange for votes from the very people he meant to harm, he shamelessly cheated on and dumped his first wife (who used to look like his VPnow) and the hypocrictic list goes on and on of the self declared transgressions deemed as harmless sins any repugnant Republican would praise God they lived up to..........
Obama is in support of those only w/ a "middle class" income. Why do we educate our children? To teach them to only strive to be "middle class" - not to be professionals? Why do we work hard to bring home a substantial income? Why do we strive to not be "middle class"? So that our hard earned money can be taxed to death for those who don't make $$$ What happened to when you don't have enough $$$ coming in, you go get another job? We work hard for the income level we reach...why should we be taxed to death...Obama is the one playing the race card...he is prejudice against those w/ substantial income! Though I will admit that the sad thing about this election is that out of all of the educated people in the U.S., these are our best candidates...
Obama did NOT lie. He stated on Oct. 9th:
"Ultimately, I ended up learning about the fact that he had engaged in this reprehensible act 40 years ago, but I was eight years old at the time and I assumed that he had been rehabilitated."
His campaign didn't know initially how Obama even met Ayers, which led them to stating that he didn't know about Ayer's bombings. This is confusing to some -- I understand you have small brains. But, the fact remains that Obama has been straight about it and condemns it flatly.
So shut up with the "Obama lied" crap.
McGrandpa cracks me up. In some ways he reminds me of the Mike Meyers character "Doctor Evil" in Austin Powers but just a lot older. Dr. Evil is always changing plans, bumbling into unintended circumstances, etc.
I could envision McGramps saying Barack Obama wants to increase taxes by 1 billion, gagillion, fafillion, shabolubalu million illion yillion dollars! LOL!
Palin is almost a perfect fit for Dr Evil's assistant Frau Farbissina. Kooky but somewhat action oriented.
In response to the reader above who wants to get back to talking about "issues", there can be no more important issue than to choose the best next president. Learning about Obama's connections to Ayers and Resko will not change his supporter's minds. They are slapped shut and that is that. In the hope that the independents and former Republicans who now support Obama still can be reached, however, I hope the debate explores it thoroughly. Obama is riding a wave of promises, not promise.
Obama is a good civil rights leader, he can't be a good president. Vote for MaCain and Palin!
Regarding Larry Clifton's remark (above) that Pelosi. Obama, and Reid would be 'offensive and frightening': I would remind you of the absolute DISASTER of Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and Wolfwitz. honestly, the only thing worse than those criminals running the govt would be aliens taking over the planet.
IMO, republicans should, out of respect for AMERICA, withdraw from the election ALTOGETHER.
YOU HAVE FAILED. The Bush admin should be tried for treason for what they have done to our Constitution. How republicans can be so utterly BLIND to what their own party has done is quite beyond me.
I never imagined how narrow minded Republicans could be. I wonder if tests would show a 30% drop in IQ when a person becomes a Republican. Mr. Obama never lied about his past. You haven't been listening to what HE said, just to what the Republican propaganda says.
Please, if you want McCain to win, stop "helping" him. He doesn't need this kind of "help".
Pelosi and Obama communist dictators? When they're not even as far left as the Conservative parties of other countries? Nobody but this country's far right believes that. To everyone else, including the critical undecided/independent voter, you sound ridiculous and it only turns them off.
Obama will ruin the country and make us into a destitute socialist country as businesses flee? He'll never be able to come close to making us as socialist as many countries in Europe, even if he cared to try, yet at the same time their economies are doing better than ours. This, again, sounds ludicrous to the ears of anyone who isn't already a die-hard Republican. And yet you're not only losing independents but even life-long Republicans over Bush and McCain's handling of the economy.
You can't win people over with these ludicrous canards. I'm sure you believe it whole-heartedly, but you're not going to convince anyone else. You're not going to convince anyone by failing to confront the real issues facing America, which is -not- the communist boogeyman. McCarthy is long gone, people. You're damaging your candidate by bringing it up.
Peter way up above was absolutely right when he said Obama and Biden are baiting McCain into bringing up Ayers. The best you can say to defend McCain or Palin is that they broke no laws, even though they were directly associated with the activities that were under investigation, but Obama is guilty by association? This isn't going to scare anyone away from Obama who isn't already terrified of him -- meaning you, you the well-meaning but foolhardy McCain supporter. Bring this up in the debate, and it'll blow up in his face.
McCain has been following the strategy that the hard-core Republican base wants him to. The same base that wouldn't accept him until he threw them the Palin bone. It's been working terribly for him. Every moment he spends trying to go after Obama's character, his past, his experience, instead of directly addressing the relevant issues by saying what he, John McCain, would do, is a moment he spends slipping farther behind. McCain is a very smart person, a solid strategist. Sadly his campaign has been loose and sloppy, and easily diverted by the demands of the Republican base. Even if he pulled it together and nailed a rock-solid strategy, it may be too late. He's lost Michigan entirely, he's mostly lost Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Minnesota, he's in danger of losing Ohio. There's not much time left, if you want him to win, STOP HELPING.
What does all of this matter anyway? Neither McCain nor Obama are pulling the strings that are steadily driving this country into financial ruin. The trillions of dollars of debt our country is shouldering is the result of decades of social programs and pork barrel spending (and borrowing) backed by members of both parties. Both the candidates back programs that will require billions more dollars to implement which will, in turn, add to the national debt to an even greater degree. Neither candidate has come up with any serious, specific plan to change the course to financial ruin we are on.
I can honestly say that I resent the class envy Obama and the Democratic Party
espouses. I believe that those who work hard for their pay deserve to keep most of it. I just can't understand why most people don't understand that those who own the businesses that provide the jobs for most working Americans use the wealth they have earned to provide more jobs by expanding their businesses. Why would we want to heap more taxes on them making it less attractive to expand and increase their work force?? Of course there are those who have taken windfall profits out of their companies and left stockholders dangling, but each individual company must learn to police those they hire. It is not the government's responsibility in a free market society!
At this moment I support McCain because A) he has more experience; B) he is a patriot who loves this country; C) he, (and his family) have an outstanding record of service to this country; and D) he will not waffle in the face of an enemy threat. I cannot say the same, judging by what I have heard and seen, about Obama.
So, I love my country and will vote, because I believe in the Democratic process. But no matter the outcome, I see dark days ahead for this country. It may straighten out for a while after the election (it always does), but just long enough to lull us back into a state of complacency. We need to be watchful and prepared, because those who hold the strings have their own agenda.
ALL OF YOU DEMOCRATS AND REPUBLICANS MAKE ME SICK!!!!!!!!!!
So the issues that affect our country and the people in our country should not be discussed and we should move onto personal attacks? This is so Republican of you all, unless of course we are talking about Palin republicans. Palin republicans are the ones that are crying that you shouldn't attack the personal life of Palin. But it was alright for these Republicans to attack and even go as far as impeachment for Clinton. Oh MUFFIN..... Democrats don't need to antagonize Republicans into a fight to defend Obama. How about attack McCain for choosing a female who is already under an indictment and whos husband is non-highshool grad who was apart of the Alaskan group demanding SUCCESSION from the USA. I only bring up his lack of Education becuase this is a significant point to bring up. Palin is backing her daughter's boyfriends decision to drop out of highschool, so he can raise a family. This is just POOR family values. POOR I SAY!!! Lets not forget her stance against Women in America and her ability to get books banned from Libraries. Well at least her husband and son to be son-in-law wont have to read.
AS IMPORTANT AS THE ECONOMY IS, THE SAFETY OF OUR COUNTRY STILL COMES FIRST. I'M AFRAID SOMEBODY WOULD DARE MCCAIN TO PUSH THE RED BUTTON AND HE WOULD TAKE THAT DARE TOO. HE IS A LOADED GUN WAITING TO PULL THE TRIGGER. HIS AGE IS ALSO SCAREY. DOES ANYBODY IN THEIR RIGHT MIND THINK PALIN COULD BE TRUSTED TO BE COMMANDER IN CHIEF????
Obama is playing dumb about the political views and ambitions of everyone he's been associated with in his adult life for one simple reason: they are all outspoken socialist who hate every institution that has made this country the greatest in the history of the world. William Ayers, after narrowly escaping prison for his despicable terrorist acts, has simply traded bomb making for subverting our educational system. Have you actually read anything he's written? If you all love socialism so much, and think capitalism is so evil, there is a long list of countries you can go live in. And by the way, it's not about race, it's about failed socialism.
For all you idiots raving about ACORN who obviously have not even read one word about what the issue with ACORN is either need to educate yourselves on a subject you wish to rant about or shut up!!! The federal government has come and said none of these fake names would actually be able to vote on Election Day, the system would catch them. They were being made up and turned in by workers who get paid on a quota system and so these workers were turning in fake registrations to get paid more money. ACORN itself found these problems and reported them!!! Should I say that again?!?! ACORN itself reported these problems. This is not some partisan conspiracy to get votes, IT COULDN"T WORK!! It is greedy people trying to make a quick buck. The fact Obama was aligned with this organization trying to good by registering voters is a GOOD THING. All you right wing nut jobs trying to build this into a conspiracy are reaching for straws!!! Read facts and make an educated statement. I am learning 95% of the right wing responses on here are just false Republican rhetoric that has been proving a lie, but just like the people you are going to vote for you keep retelling the lies even after they are debunked. Try reading factcheck.org and at least you won’t look so gullible and uneducated.
What babble comes out of the mouths of Obiden supporters to justify thier shrill rhetoric. Most are part of what Jean Kirkpatrick (a Democrat) called "the blame America first crowd." Their attacks on a honorable man such as Senator McCain are as mean as they are unfounded. Most independent and thinking voters will give their verdict when they enter the voting booth and vote for the better choice for president. The better choice is Senator McCain.
Obama has met Vice-President Cheney; they have been in the same buidling and room. In addition, the two are blood relatives. Since Vice-President is a very conservative-reactionary individual, therefore Senator Obama must be too. Obama been indoctrinated by the Vice-President and he must be conservative-reactionary!
Great! We did need another conservative-reactionary now.
I am afraid of Obama. I don't all about him I would like to know. Where is he getting all of his money. I have not heard him say one thing about God or praying or God Bless America. I do not believe in murding unborn children. This country was founded by men who believed in God and we should continue to have only leaders who believe in God.
One way to measure the relative intelligence of McCain supporters versus Obama supporters would be to have any high school English teacher review the comments posted here and grade them for errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
The only problem with this idea is that ignorant people are ignorant of their own ignorance. People who write "your" when it should be "you're" are not going to know what you're talking about when things like this are pointed out. However, those of us who graduated from high school with better than a C average get it, and the rest will respond with "Your stupid." Duh.....

Well, I hope McCain brings it up.
Because this "issue" is old news. Obama didn't lie about it. Let McCain make the accusations to Obama's face and give him a chance to respond.
I doubt it will happen, because McCain doesn't want a response. There is much more to be gained by saying nothing, not giving Obama a chance to refute McCain's ridiculous charges, and letting the right wing remain ignorant.
It is sad to see McCain stoop to this level. A lot of people once thought McCain had integrity, including me. Unfortunately he has embraced the Republican slime machine in his last ditch effort to become president.
The United States of America started with socialism. So how do you claim it does not belong there. The economy was much more stable when the mom and pop stores was the primary place of business and Dr Baker didn’t have to ask the ingles for their insurance card before they got treatment. The Euro and the Yen have been stronger then the dollar all summer long and the American Health system ranks 10th in the industrialized world behind Europe. I wrote a paper on it 3 months ago. And the internet was flooded with articles about the dollar being 3rd(not king). George Washington stated in his Farwell Address there is a place for liberalism in a free world.
And By The Way(See I can spell it out) if Sarah or John was in front of me I would tell them exactly what I thought of them. I give them a standing invitation to talk to me face to face. I will tell them exactly what I think about them. I don’t have to hold anything back due to fear of ruining my political image. And if either one of them resorted to violence due to my constructive criticism then it just proves they are not capable or mature enough to run this country.
For the record I got a B in macro economics. Much better then Sarah’s D.
What don't we know about the "reationship" between Ayers and Obama? NOTHING. Its all out there and there is nothing there. We know everything. If someone thinks that the two of them sitting on the same board should disqualify Obama then don't vote for him. But don't pretend that there is something there that doesn't exist. Obama's life is literally an open book, and so for that matter is McCain's. If you think that a hard living, hard partying flyboy wou finished at the bottom of his class, a 72 year old cancer suvivor who spent 6 years in a prison camp, came out and dumped his wife is the better choice then vote for him. I'm voting for the editor of the Harvard Law review. It's the insinuation that Obama is hiding something that is so dishonorable and that will be cleared up if McCain brings it up in a debate.
I love how Dems like to bring up the Keating 5 as some sort of defense for Obama's association with a terrorist. Obviously it's nothing more than a tag line from the talking points. If they knew anything about it, they would realize 4 of the 5 were Democrats. And that 2 of the 5, John Glenn and John McCain were not found to be guilty of anything more than poor judgment. They didn't directly cause the problem or contribute to it in any way.
Also the argument that Barack was 8 when Ayers was blowing up building is idiotic too. So by that logic when Malia currently 10 or Natasha 7 decide they want to grow up and follow in daddy's footsteps and run for president, it's ok to have their announcement party at Bin Laden's house? I mean they were only babies when the Trade Center came down and Osama didn't actually destroy the building himself. Maybe he can get a teaching job at Harvard or Yale and say he's really sorry. Dem logic, gotta love it. (and for all the grammar trolls on the board, i misspelled it on purpose)
So if McCain wants to play "guilt my association" does that mean Obama can link McCain with the addict who stole from a children's charity to buy drugs? McCain even helped this criminal evade the sort of federal prison sentence that would await the common man for such a terrible crime.
What was that criminal's name again? Oh yeah, that's right... Cindy McCain!
Getting back to the point of the article, yes, John McCain is a coward for not making his accusations to Obama's face when they met in the debate. If McCain feels that his accusations have merit, then make his accusations when Obama has a chance to respond. How can you trust McCain to press the leaders of Iraq or other countries, if he is too afraid to confront them face to face?
Hey Rebecca go thump your bible elsewhere. I am an athiest and I have every right that you do under our CONSTITUTION. I guess you missed the part that states SEPERATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. Oh wait you are a Republican and like our republican president you dont seem to care much for the constitution or you only like to quote the parts that suit your agenda. You can worship or not worship anyone or any way you want in this country. You need to move to the one of those middle eastern countries whose goverment dictates the people by religious law. Hmm..how is that working out over there?
I LOVE IT...Take the bait McCain. BO will reel you in, and gut you - LOL
#121 says, "I am afraid of Obama. I don't all about him I would like to know. This country was founded by men who believed in God and we should continue to have only leaders who believe in God."
Huh?
Hey DAN - be careful, your lack of intelligence is showing. Like most who have had the truth about this concept subverted during their public school education...here is the truth about the statement you just made
The truth is, the words, SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE do not even occur in the United States constitution. If you do not believe me, then read it for yourself. The constitution is a document that is readily available for citizen perusal. The words that we are all so familiar with, actually do appear in one single historic document, but NOT in the country's constitution.
The document in question was a simple, ordinary letter written by Mr. Thomas Jefferson, to a Baptist church. In this letter, Mr. Jefferson stated that he thinks there should be a "wall of separation between church and state" in order to protect the churches themselves from Governmental Overlording. He was trying to protect the country's various churches from being controlled by the state, not the other way around. America has always enjoyed a fair deal of freedom regarding how and when and whom to worship, but if the Government took over, that freedom would be gone. This was Mr. Jefferson's sole concern.
One more thing DAN...
P.S. I'd rather live my life as if there IS a God and die to find out that there isn't, than live my life as if there is no God and die to find out that there IS.
Your choice ...
Anyone who is an aware parent can see that Palin's daughter is the real parent of that child.
Just look at the recent footage of Palin juggling to pay for groceries at checkout with one hand while holding the baby in the other hand - with the daughter looking on. And I'll tell you - the husband is creepy -- i wouldn't be surprised if its his.
Once again the so called religious show their intolerance for anyone who does not share their values. Believe in what I believe in or be damned! They say. Once again this is America, I can chose or not to worship. You are just like all the people claiming Sen. Obama is a Muslim and an Arab. He is not BUT so what if he was. Just because its not your religious choice doesn't mean its a bad thing, as all you Christians try to make it. America is the melting pot of ALL racial types..be it Arab or African American, Caucasian or whatever. But all you right wingers try to make it different. That my friends is why you and your candidate are being voted right out the door. SEE YA!!!!!!!!!!!!
So Joan separation of church and state is not in the constitution lol Semantics! Here ya go instead. Now question my intelligence!: That is true, the phrase "separation of church and state" does not actually appear anywhere in the Constitution. There is a problem, however, in that some people draw incorrect conclusions from this fact. The absence of this phrase does not mean that it is an invalid concept or that it cannot be used as a legal or judicial principle.
There are any number of important legal concepts which do not appear in the Constitution with the exact phrasing people tend to use. For example, nowhere in the Constitution will you find words like "right to privacy" or even "right to a fair trial." Does this mean that no American citizen has a right to privacy or a fair trial? Does this mean that no judge should ever invoke these rights when reaching a decision? Of course not - the absence of these specific words does not mean that there is also an absence of these ideas. The right to a fair trial, for example, is necessitated by what is in the text because what we do find simply makes no moral or legal sense otherwise. Similarly, courts have found that the principle of a "religious liberty" exists behind in the First Amendment, even if those words are not actually there:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof... Can anyone deny that the First Amendment guarantees the principle of religious liberty, even though those words do not appear there? Similarly, the First Amendment guarantees the principle of the separation of church and state - by implication, because separating church and state is what allows religious liberty to exist.
Many countries have made one religion the established (official) church and support it with government funds (i.e. the Church of England, and the Roman Catholic Church in many countries). This amendment forbids Congress to set up or in any way provide for an established church. It has been interpreted to forbid government endorsement of or aid to religious doctrines. In addition, Congress may not pass laws limiting worship, speech, or the press, or preventing people from meeting peacefully.
In other words, the Amendment prevented Congress from endorsing any particular religion, but does not prevent cooperation between government and religious organizations. Like it or not, when our country was founded, Christianity was the predominant religion on which our governing principals were established. Words from the Bible and the 10 Commandments are inscribed on government buildings all over the country because people believed in what they taught. They were the underpinning behind the civil, ethical, and moral laws of our nation and they have served us well. But the founding fathers were very careful not to single out any particular religious doctrine when referring to the Deity in print, or elsewhere. Note – on our currency, it says “in GOD we Trust”, not in “Jesus”, “Mohammed” or “Buddha”. In fact George Washington, in an effort to remain impartial is credited with saying “The government of the United States is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion”. But he is also quoted as saying, “It is impossible to rightly govern a nation without God and the Bible.” Who can dispute that it was his personal religious convictions (in God and the Bible) that shaped his world view and contributions to the founding of our nation.
So, I disagree with your assertion, “The absence of this phrase does not mean that it is an invalid concept or that it cannot be used as a legal or judicial principle.” It is, indeed an invalid concept based on the reasoning behind the establishment of the 1st Amendment. The phrase, “wall of separation of church and state” has been hijacked from Jefferson’s letter (mentioned in my previous post), and used by the liberal, mostly anti-religious and atheistic segments of our society to push an agenda that would eliminate God from the public forum. Those of us who have a deep and abiding faith in God resent this reinterpretation of what our founding fathers wrote for the good of all people and faiths. And please make no mistake. I do not believe is shoving my religion down anyone’s throat. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is one accepted on faith – not on command. Those who believe know that it is a personal decision we have come to, and not something that has been pushed or inbred into us as is the case in other religions.
So, you are right – you can choose to worship or not worship anyone you want. BUT REMEMBER – by foisting your “separation of church and state” assertions, which seeks to remove any mention of God in the public forum, on the public you are asserting atheism – your disbelief in the existence of God or deities. This is itself a religion by definition (Def: people's beliefs and opinions concerning the existence, nature, and worship of a deity or deities, and divine involvement in the universe and human life). In doing so you seek to deny our rights to practice our faith in the public forum as protected in the 1st Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Joan...you just sat there and berated the beliefs of other religions like most Christians I know. That goes against the very words you say you follow and live by...Love Thy Neighbor...but like most you are a hypocrit to the teachings you say you follow. "Nough said!
Pardon me - I should have included the word "some" other religions (and we both know they exist). In any case I am capable of both loving my neighbor AND disagreeing with him. However, YOU completely skirted the point I was making (because you know you are wrong), and chose to resort to name calling instead of civil discourse. But then, perhaps the Judeao-Christian command to “love thy neighbor as thyself” doesn’t apply to atheists. Or does it?? When the day comes that you live in a world where that command is no longer honored or followed, you will seek justice and there won’t be any. Will you be the hypocrite then, seeking after something you denied others before?
Perhaps you don’t realize it, but your life, and what you think, say, and do matters to God, and He loves you too. I pray you will discover that along the way as you continue your search for truth.
