The race in 4 minutes

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor October 2, 2008 10:43 AM

For the voters out there who haven't been paying attention, the folks at Slate unveiled a video recap of the presidential race since Barack Obama picked Joe Biden as his running mate in late August.

And it logs in just under 4 minutes.

The video includes both Democratic and Republican conventions, John McCain's surprise selection of Sarah Palin (a "Hail Mary" pass as footage of Doug Flutie's famous game-winning heave for Boston College against Miami is shown), the controversy over Obama's lipstick on a pig comment, the Wall Street meltdown, Palin's TV interview flubs, and the first presidential debate last Friday night.

The political version of must-see TV before tonight's vice presidential debate.
