If you don't listen to the ad, you'd swear it was one of Barack Obama's:
Quickly, one after another, young people, of various hues, talk directly into the camera about their devotion to their presidential candidate.
But this one, launched tonight, is for John McCain.
The young people in the ad all say they "stand" with him -- on proposals on energy, lower taxes, free trade, spending, national security, putting "our country first," and "courage under fire."
This blogger might want to review your comment before posting it.

If they are willing to lay it all on the line for all of our futures I want to know how much they were paid. Every young person I know feels as strongly as I do about how only one candidate can take us forward..Obama
the fat lady is clearing her voice and Johnny Mavericky knows it. In the next few weeks we will see him expectorate more mud than anyone would have thought him capable of.
McCain '08...Check the records. Obama is the anti-patriot! Smooth talker with no substance...how can people be so in awe by him.
I'm not being paid..i'm young (24) and have been a republican since I could vote. I will be voting for McCain.
Saying that all young people are passionate about Obama is like saying all old people are crazy for McCain. Most are but not all. I am young and I support John McCain. I don't necessarily like McCain but it is scary to think someone like Obama with no experience and has a radical past can be president of the United States.
Obama will be the ruination of our once proud country, his election would be the beginning of the end for Real Americans. God help us! Those who follow this Fake will be betrayed almost immediately. You'll see.
Obviously, these young people have become even dumber than their parents.
This ad would have more impact if John McCain ever discussed any of the issues these young people are giving for supporting him... balancing the budget? education reform? fixing Social Security? healthcare reform? environmental stewardship? job creation? lower taxes? John McCain has been unwilling to discuss any of these issues during his campaign.. All that we've heard from him so far is lies, exaggerations, and distortions about Obama. I guess he's realizing that his dirty tactics aren't working on anyone else so he's hoping they'll work with our younger voters..
Had a "pleasure" to "talk" with one of the 25 yo guy at a friends house. This idiot is brain washed and completely blind and deff whan it comes to Obama. No critical thinking, no respoince to ANY facts. Just stupid pre-programmed frases eminating from Obama.
What are we coming to?
Johnny... so sad.
I attended a recent rally for McCain/ Palin in PA. About 1/3rd of the crowd (6,000 in attendance) were young people - college students, recent grads, late 20's. Of all ethnic backgrounds too.
Don't take any group for granted in this race.
John McCain's plans hold no substance. Only vague ideas and definite contradictions.
As a young student, I don't see how I can vote for someone who can not make a clear argument without contradicting themselves constantly.
Someone with a parrot control freak for a VP candidate.
Someone who wants to treat Health care the same way that mortgages have been treated for so long. We all see how well that worked.
His ideas hold no water.
I feel like as an American we all have to wise up and take back our America from the liberals. They are trying to change us to a socialized country. The liberals are stripping us of our values and they are apologetic that they are Americans.... My thought is if you don't like it here get the heck out. I am an American who happens to love our country. I am getting sick and tired of everyone moving in here and trying to change our values as Americans. Let's unite and stop sitting on our duffs and doing nothing. Send this to everyone you know, lets pick a day and from the west coast to the east coast lets march and let them know that we want America back
I am a young voter and I support John McCain 100%. It is a lie to say that all younger voters are for Obama. It's not true! Most of the ones who are for Obama have no idea what's going on. In fact, several of the young Obama supporters that i've spoken with don't even know how many states are in our country! HELLO!
I also am relatively young--31 and am Happy to vote for John McCain. I want a conservative president who will make wise choices for federal judges and knows what they are doing. I don't feel like Obama would be as good of a choice to lead our country as McCain. I am sick of the media putting Palin down. Listen to what Biden just said that Obama will be tested. He is not ready for a test and not ready to lead.
I have not seen in the video or read in any of the comments why it is exactly that people support McCain. Other than the guy who said we shouldn't let our values change. Does this guy value women's right to vote? Abolition? Copyright extension? Seems like America's values have been changing since the beginning. He claims those who don't like America should get out. I argue that those who think America could be better should work to improve it. I still have not heard how McCain will improve our situation. Someone please explain it.
Really...young, old or somewhere in between, we should all be voting based on issues that we are concerned about. Society is moving away from being affiliated and loyal to one party of the other and so are the ideas of politicians. Being young doesn't automatically make me a liberal or a Democrat and not a conservative Republican..I guess I can be somewhere in between, right? And, who is the candidate that shows his ability to understand and remedy situations concerning both liberals and conservatives? Why, it's John McCain. Straight talk with no fluff. Just like our mothers say, don't make a promise you can't keep. I hope all of you that are supporting Obama, hold him to his promises.
Hear Hear aybee!!!! I am tired of everything the media has done to the McCain/Palin ticket. Note how Biden would be happy running with John McCain??? Its three against one as far as I'm concerned. Lets keep America - AMERICA!
Barbie, if Obama takes your wealth and gives it to someone like me who is by defninition, poor, he is not doing you any favors. If I rise to the occasion and work my buns off and try to own my own business, making more than $250,000 (which by quotes of Obama/Biden seems to be down to $150,000) then I might as well not work as hard, shall I??? what do you think that does to the economy??? Socialism does not work and even France's Sarkozy will tell you that the Democrat's plan for Iran is CRAP!
My father has worked for the past 51 years of his life. After 30 years in the work force he was layed off by a fortune 100 company. He left his six figure job, and started over at 45k...about 1/4 of what he was making. He cut out everything in his life that he did not consider to be a necessity...(vacation, new car, going out to eat...etc) so he would be able to provide for my family. In that time, we were never without healthcare, food on the table, clothing or shelter...did I mention he also put 2 kids through college. Although times were tough for my parents, they never once held out thier hands!!! I cannot wait to vote for John McCain, and Sarah Palin!!!!
It's sad that the media is picking the next president instead of the people... Go McCain!
