Hillary Clinton silent on secretary of state post
Hillary Clinton, who reportedly met with President-elect Barack Obama in Chicago yesterday, declined to speculate on her political future at an appearance in New York this morning, according to Reuters.
"In introductory remarks at a speech in Albany," Reuters reports, "Clinton did not confirm or deny news reports that she had a secret meeting with Obama on Thursday.
" 'I'm not going to speculate or address anything about the president-elect's incoming administration. And I am going to respect his process and any inquiries should be directed to his transition team,' Clinton said."

Obama has built his campaign on CHANGE, JUSTICE, FAIRNESS, PEACE, and above all keeping HUMANITY and HUMAN RIGHTS of all in mind.
If Hillary is capable of delivering that, she should be welcome, if not Obama must find some one more suitable to follow his guide lines OR his Presidency will not run on his Principles but on old Washington policies controlled by the PACs and AIPAC.
FOr a woman who wants to be a President of the United States, being a Senator from one of the largest states in the country is the next best thing. Being a Secretary of State would be a demotion. I'm sure Hillary knows this, Obama knows this, and most people if they stop and think but for a brief second, should realize this. Being a cabinet member in Obama's administration would mean that she's given up her quest. I doubt it very much.
Hillary would make a brilliant Sec of State. Whether Obama could fully control her is another matter. For her, the role would allow her to distinguish herself from 99 other Senators, and grab the media spotlight on a regular basis. For him, it would improve relations with the Clinton camp (giving her a plum job), contribute to his goal of filling his cabinet with qualified, diverse men and women, and probably help secure some of the major accomplishments he will need for re-election (ObamaAgain2012.com). She'd be smart to take the job.
behind the partisan sniping that goes on in washington there's unified delegating of american foreign policy to likud -- thus rahm emanuel, who holds two passports, will run the white house staff while hillary or some other unbridled supporter of zionism will run state
Watch out for the SNIPERS FIRE Ms Secretary.
Honestly Hillary should have won for President of the United States. Yes she should be in Obama's Admin.
horace, emanuel may be way out there, but, get the facts straight, he gave up his Israeli passport when he was 18.
We voted for change,
not the same old AIPAC crowd
Michelle Obama said that her and her husband made their way with hard work and “Keeping Their Word”.
Oh Yeah…..
Well, what about the “Public Campaign Financing Pledge” !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Would be a great choice. I think this would be a definite promotion for her. Hope Obama is so smart as to pick her.
"change" huh?-- just goes to show that obama is full of shiatt
Sec of State for her???...gimme a break......she is totally ignorant of foreign policy....she LIED as usual when she went to Iraq for a photo-op with the troops....she publicly stated she was met with sniper firing at her while leaving the plane.....no such incident ever happened to this congenital LIAR!!
Did anyone read "Team of Rivals". This is the book Obama said he would bring with him to the White House if he could only bring one book. This what Lincoln did. He brought Seward in as Sec. of State. Seward was the front runner for the nomination that Lincoln unexpectedly won.

Ha,ha,ha am I the only one thinking like this,Mr President elect Barrack Obama is starting his 2012 run.
We are hoping Obama will announce that Hillary Clinton has been offered and accepted the position of Sect. of State...they will be an awesome team with Joe Biden in bringing their collective experiences and visions for change in this country. He is going to show that he can work with former rivals across the former divisions on all sides to bring the best people together as a team for the good of the country. He is going to be a great president.
Choosing folks who know their way around Washington is a good idea. I have no doubt that though some of the faces remain the same, things are going to be done in a different way - Obama's way.
Where is the change? More of the Clintons and the Democratic Religion can do no wrong. Get Independent America and use your brains
Politicians bank on American Political stupidity. This is another good example of that. Clintons will get back into the Whitehouse even if they have to get in through the outhouse.
Obama said he was for change, so how can there be 'change' when there are 'hints' that Hillary Clinton mght be appointed Sec of State, when she left behind things like "Filegate". "Travelgate" and the Healthcare pblm. And while Hillary is going around the world what happens to "Billy Bob" who is going around the world making millions from his speeches. Is there not anyone else to choose from??? .
