The dean of Northeastern University's law school is on President-elect Barack Obama's transition team, helping review the Department of Labor.
Emily Spieler, the dean of the Boston law school since 2002, is a leading authority on employment law and social insurance systems and formerly taught at West Virginia University’s College of Law and served as commissioner of the West Virginia Workers Compensation Fund, according to the university's announcement.
As with other transition teams, Spieler's will help Obama's senior appointees go through the confirmation process and hit the ground running.
