Obama holds lead in battlegrounds

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor November 3, 2008 11:13 AM

In the latest battleground state polls, Democrat Barack Obama holds clear leads in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and is slightly ahead in Florida.

Quinnipiac University's surveys, released this morning, show Obama leading Republican John McCain by 50 percent to 43 percent among likely voters in Ohio, by 52 percent to 42 percent in Pennsylvania, and 47 percent to 45 percent in Florida.

The Ohio Poll, conducted by the University of Cincinnati, also shows Obama ahead, 51.5 percent to 45.7 percent among likely voters.

The three states, with 68 total electoral votes, are crucial; no Republican has won the White House in modern times without winning Ohio.

The Quinnipiac surveys were conducted Oct. 27-Nov. 2 and have margins of error of plus or minus 2.5 percentage points in Ohio and Pennsylvania and 2.3 percentage points in Florida. The Ohio Poll was done Oct. 29-Nov. 2 and has a margin of error of plus of minus 2.7 percentage points.

Dear undecided Voter,

Please vote.

In the final analysis this election has been fought on following emotional presumptions by the both campaigns.

1. Presidential Temperament.
2. Sound presidential Judgment.
3. Meaningful plans, policies, and positions'
4. Understanding and knowledge of workings in & around Washington.
5. Vigor, wisdom and vision" for the future of our beloved Great-grand Nation.
6. American Values, Virtues, Vastness, and Strong soul.
7. Fear & hope & future & past.
9. Culture unite and Culture Divide.
10.Tactics of tearing people down & showing past scars and Inspiring people up and fearing people away.
11. Restoring Global standing and threatening global dominance.
12. Building nation up all around and Scaring people away from the tickets.

As a Independent registered voter I have decided to vote for the Obama-Biden ticket. I am sure they will protect our national security, strengths, stamina and soul as well as rebuild our nation from the bottom up in all areas of need. The OBAMA-BIDEN ticket will restore our global standing with the use of maximum, firm international diplomacy and minimal force if and when necessary.

Yours sincerely,

I see you all have not lost your fight :

GOOD! Because we have a lot to do. You! (the American people) are going to have to take back control of your elected government at every level, and set your government back on the right path of service to you, and the greater good of the World.

Barack Obama and the democrats are your best hope of doing that now. Tell your family, friends, and everyone you know to support them as best they can. Because the Bush McCain vote fraud, vote cheating, vote buying, vote manipulation machine is already hard at work to cheat you again. And we all know what a disaster that has been the past 8 years of Bush McCain.

Barack Obama and the democrats will need all the power you can give them at every level of government (Federal, State, County, and local City elected governments). Obama and the democrats will have an enormous mess to fix for the American people, and the rest of the World. A mess caused by the corrupt Bush McCain administration.

You see, starting back in 2000, and before 911, it was mostly the Republican governors, Republican legislatures, and county elected Republican officials that conspired with the corrupt Bush McCain administration to raise college, and university tuitions by the fastest, and highest rate increases in American history. Some state tuitions went up by as much as a WHOPPING! 30% in one year.

The reason the Bush McCain administration did this was to force struggling working class kids into the military to pay for the sudden jump in tuition. Which was forced on them by the corrupt Bush McCain administration, and their corrupt Republican Governors, and republican controlled state legislatures.

See, Bush McCain had plans to get us into all these immoral, foolish, criminal, and unnecessary wars from the start. So they could use these wars to seize power, and later to get reelected. But, for their evil plan to work they needed more volunteer soldiers struggling to pay for an education whose blood they could spill to help them seize more power. Remember Bush McCain's "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED!" theatrics.

The exploitation, and lost lives of these finest Americans is despicable, disgusting, immoral, corrupt and criminal. And it makes me SICK, and ANGRY!

You will have to vote for Obama, and the democrats in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush McCain vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help your fellow Americans cast their votes on through election day. Vote for Obama, and the democrats like your life, and the lives of your loved ones depends on it. Because it does. You will not survive 4 more years of "Let Them Eat Cake" Bush McCain, and their republican allies.

Just look at the mess we have now.

You can fix this mess with your votes for Obama, and the democrats. But you must continue to surge forward for Barack Obama, and the democrats, and for your-selves most of all. The children, and the World are counting on us.

It's in your hands now. And I know you will get it done.

God bless all of you.

I am completely dumbfounded by the media's blackout of the prank call to Palin!

Dont the citizens have a right to know what their Vice Presidential candidate really is? We are on the verge of electing a completely dumb person to the position of the most powerful person in the world! Wont it be shameful for US to elect such a woman? Or is it that it is so shameful to even print it?

In fact, the audio is the most hilarious thing I have ever heard.. and the most scary as well! She behaves like a schoolgirl.. doesnt even know who Canada's PM is, when Canada is the centerpiece of her foreign policy experience?

Even Ohio is in the Obama column. Working class whites are very smart. They understand when they have been had just like the rest of the demographics that have suffered under Bush. McSame voted 90% with Bush ("better than most Republicans" as he put it).

I have faith in all of America and Ohio had proven that faith through its home stretch polls.

All polls can't be wrong: Obama is the next President of the USA! No one can't take this away. In case the rep. may still try to steal but we will not accept that. Mc must retire or try again in 2012, Palin must go and look for babies and husband.

Home ruuuuunnnn! Obama! Congratulations for beating the odds, sticking at it, telling Americans the truth like it is and giving people hope for capturing the fading dreams. Just what the doctor ordered for the world!

The good news is that given what the Republicans pulled in 2000 and 2004 the polling places are going to be watched carefully for any sign of foul play. A lawyer friend of mine is heading to Ohio to work with a team to make sure that the Republicans don't try to steal this one.

We are on the verge of returning the presidency to someone with the wherewithall to govern wisely and competently. Don't lose vigilance.

This is the first time that the Democrats are actually more conservative then the Republican Party in many years. I wish more conservative voters would look at the facts. If our economy is smaller currently then years past, and we lower the total taxes collected (corporate and/or personal), our shortfall in federal tax money will require us to increase the national debt. At some point we as a country have to take it on the chin, and at least limit adding to it, if not pay it back ASAP.

Each of us should be willing to do our part in lowering the "National Debt" as Americans.

Obama is a dangerously ignorant, completely shallow, arrogant, platitude-spouting, inexperienced, Marxist, drug-addicted, elitist, narcissistic, flip-flopping gas-bag who is so mentally deficient from extensive drug use he even has to plagiarize his hollow platitudes.

I am so excited that this country is about to close the door on the past, and move forward----not just economically, but spiritually. We need Obama to inspire us to be the best that we can be---what a beautiful day.

I am using my right to bear arms at the polling place in Miami-Dade in case Republicans riot and interfere like they did in 2000.

The intelligent voices of this country are being heard loud and clear in the polls, on the streets, on the Internet, and in the ballot box! The only people still stuck in the quagmire of stupidity are those who are drunk on the inky and ignorant McCain/Palin Kool-Aid!
