Palin has Georgia on her mind

Posted by Foon Rhee, deputy national political editor December 1, 2008 01:48 PM

Sarah Palin is back on the campaign trail today for the first time since she and John McCain lost the presidential race, trying to help Republicans keep their US senate seat in Georgia.

Republican Saxby Chambliss is trying to fend off a challenge from Democrat Jim Martin, who is getting help from President-elect Barack Obama and other Democrats leading up to Tuesday's runoff. Democrats, with the support of two independents, have 58 seats in the incoming Senate, and if they were to win Georgia and a recount in Minnesota, could reach the magic number of 60 -- a potentially filibuster-proof majority.

"Georgia, the eyes of America are upon you. We all have Georgia on our minds," Palin said. "Georgia, the stakes are so high. America is counting on you. Tell your friends. Tell your family. We are rebuilding our party. And we're renewing the common sense, pro-working class, conservative cause in America. And it's starting right here in Georgia by sending Saxby back to work in the United States Senate."

"Senator McCain came back here because he understands that losing an election does not mean we have to lose our way. He is ready to carry on the good fight in Washington, but he needs Saxby to help him do it," she added. "Now, we've got a lot of hard work to do. We're got our work cut out for us if we are to lead again in changing Washington for the better and to put government back on your side. It takes rebuilding. And I say let that begin here in Georgia tomorrow.

Palin, the Alaska governor who might seek the top spot on the GOP ticket in four years, is scheduled to appear at four rallies across the state today with Chambliss.

She talks mean???? I,ve been searching for years now (since Gore) for an example of liberal tolerance and am yet to find any!! For the compassionate party, you people sure do hate alot. It must be nice being able to explain any shortcomings on a person, a race, a sex, or a political ideology. Much easier than being personally responsible...

Hey James,

Can you be any more of a tool? You say that liberals are hating alot when all we are doing is treating Saint Sarah Palin as a human being and giving her the same amount of disrespect we would show a man. That is liberal justice, we treat everyone the same while you throw up about her gender and treat her as a piece of delicate glass. You would not know personal responsiblity if it hit you in the face.

As a man, Palin is not hot, Fey at least is cute.

Sarah is the real deal. I'm not even a conservative and I think Sarah is the best. She loves this country every bit as much as Obama loves himself. My foul democtatic party and the slime bucket press tried to detroy her and the gal is still standing. Obama would have had a melt down if he had to face what sarah did. The press didn't hold him accountable for saying there are 57 states or 58 if you count New Mexico, nor his claim the bomb was dropped in Hawaii instead of Japan, and best of all when he finally admitted to Karie Couric that the surge worked but if he had it to vote over he still wouldn't have voted for the surge. SarAH KKKKK surge

Palin is running for President. That results in eight years of Obama.

I was reading this story at another site, and it was interesting to note that the writer of the article emphasized how many 8 and 9 year olds begged off school to go see Sarah Palin, and how readily their parents gave in.

So nice to see so many Palinistas, unable to vote! Ha!

I'll bet a lot of ADULTS have been showing up at Jim Martin's rallies.

WE HAVE MORE TO DO:

Democrat Jim Martin is in a runoff against Bush Republican Saxby Chambliss for the Senate seat from Georgia. Bush's Saxby Chambliss voted against spending a few measly dollars to provide health care coverage for Georgia, and Americas needy children. But he supported wasting hundreds of billions of your dollars, and the life BLOOD of Americas finest on an unnecessary war in Iraq.

At a time when 47 million of you have no health insurance coverage, and over 100 million of you with insurance are just one major illness away from complete financial destruction. Bush and Saxby Chambliss voted to make the heart break of bankruptcy relief even harder for all of you to use.

You see, Bush and Saxby Chambliss, and his family don't have to worry about their health care coverage. They have the finest health care coverage your tax money can buy for them. Courtesy of you. The American Tax payer. In fact, no one but the super rich can afford the health care coverage you the tax payer provide for Saxby Chambliss, and his family for FREE! with your tax dollars.

He supposedly works for you. But he doesn't think you and your family should have access to the type of taxpayer supported FREE health care that you provide for him, and his loved ones for FREE!. Doesn't that just make you BURRING MAD!

Vote for JIM MARTIN for US senator from Georgia. Vote for JIM Martin who will be on your side. Vote for JIM MARTIN who will work with President Obama and a majority congress for you. Vote for JIM MARTIN most of all for your-self, your family's, friends, and loved ones. Vote for JIM MARTIN for a better America, and a better World.

Don't let Saxby Chambliss make a chump out of you by tricking you into voting against your own best interest. Saxby chambliss is NOT! on your side. He's not one of you. He is on George Bush's side. And we all know what a catastrophe the Bush Chambliss administration has been the past 8 years.

Contact all your family and friends and do every thing you can to see to it that JIM MARTIN and GEORGIANS! take that senate seat back for Georgia, and America. No matter where you live in America. This is important to you. President Obama will need all the help, and power you can give him to try and fix this catastrophic mess that the Corrupt Bush Chambliss administration has created.

As I said before you will have to vote in overwhelming numbers to overcome the Bush Chambliss "Let Them Eat Cake" vote fraud machine. Vote early if you can. Then help everyone you can get to the polls and vote for JIM MARTIN. You and your loved ones don't have to be Saxby Chambliss's victims anymore.

I know you will get it done. Just like you did for President Obama.

God bless all of you

Glad to hear Sara is going to Georgia to speak on Chambliss' behalf. Perhaps some day she will further perfect her vocal personna by imitating scraping her fingernails on a blackboard. Sympathisers with a tin ear love her gushy talk of this and that followed by the twinkled eye gaze, paning the onlookers. That style reminds me of an enthusiastic, engrandized evangelist that came to my door thinking I was absorbing his personal spiritual story moment to moment. While some may chime in with the accolades, it is evident that her college degree is not paying dividends. She has said it best herself...I am just a hockey mom. Sometimes the truth hurts.

Saxby will win of course.... who cares? If Palin runs again in 4 years it simply hands the dems another free ride. Somebody make her go away.

Hey James Stevenson,

How old are you? You must be in high school at most, maybe a college freshman, if you are calling someone a "tool".

I'm also wondering if you are homosexual as well? Considering you don't find Palin attractive in the least.

Posted by Trevor December 2, 08 01:05 AM

The fear of Sarah Palin by the leftist's is palpable, through their displayed overt visceral hatred of her they are becoming mere imbecilic idiots, which in the end will garner them only disgust.

Trevor, I use the term "tool" quite frequently to describe people who don't know how to think clearly, and I'm MUCH older than high school or college age. "Tool" is just a nicer description to use......I could think of some that would not be as nice. Just because James Stevenson doesn't think Sarah is attractive doesn't mean he's homosexual. I am a definite heterosexual.....and I think she looks like a throwback to the 50's (that hairstyle went out with Shaboom!) Maybe if I didn't have to hear her talk, she might be a little attractive, but that voice........like fingernails on the blackboard!

Wow, Trevor, really, someone who calls someone a tool must be in high school or college???? Where have you been for the last twenty years kid?

I do like the fact you can not fight me on facts but resort to questioning my sexual preference, a sign you already lost.

For the record, Angelina Jolie is hoty, Palin, not so much.
