Several news organizations are reporting that Bill Richardson will be named commerce secretary at a press conference on Wednesday by President-elect Barack Obama.

Richardson would be another former political rival and former Clintonite invited into the Obama cabinet.

Now the governor of New Mexico, Richardson served as energy secretary and ambassador to the United Nations in the Clinton administration, besides his freelance diplomacy afterwards. When he rebuffed the Clintons -- including the former president, who watched the Super Bowl with him -- and endorsed Obama instead, former Clinton adviser James Carville called him "Judas."
