First lady Michelle Obama will join her husband on the college commencement tour this spring.
Her office announced today that she will give the commencement speech on May 16 to the first full graduating class at the University of California at Merced, which opened in 2005. Students there wrote to Obama, her office, and her friends and family, her office said.
She also plans to speak at Washington Mathematics Science Technology Public Charter high school in Washington D.C, on June 3.
The White House announced last week that the president plans to speak at Arizona State University on May 13, the University of Notre Dame on May 17, and the United States Naval Academy on May 22.
