Obama visits with war injured
President Obama visited wounded service members today at the Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Md., the first of two such events for him this week.
Reporters were not allowed to tag along, but Obama met with 26 inpatients and about 30 outpatients and their families, according to the press pool report. He also met with hospital staff and awarded two Purple Hearts. Bethesda is one of the military's major hospitals for the injured from Iraq and Afghanistan who require extended care, including those who have lost limbs.
On Friday, Obama plans to visit the Landstuhl medical center in Germany, the first stop on the way home for many of the seriously injured in Iraq and Afghanistan.

I wonder if anyone asked Obumma about his promise to bring the troops home? It appears to me that he's getting the USA involved in more problems/places (e.g. Pakistan; N. Korea).
I'm sure those stories about Obumma's Grandfather (being in the service) pick service members right up. I'll bet it's almost like...Obumma himself was there.
Your tasteless remarks are not appreciated by this 100% SERVICE CONNECTED DISABLED Veteran, Now grow up.
Bush would visit a few times a month and nobody reported it. Obama goes and plays golf on Memorial day instead of visiting the wounded and makes half hearted gestures towrds the military and gets a standing ovation. Can we please have some intellectual honesty.
To the Bush excuse makers and flag wavers...had George Bush not chose his option of unessesary war, hospital visits to disabled troops wouldn't exist. Using those who survived and are disabled for political purposes is unbecoming of a citizen of the USA.
