Tierney to vote in favor of health care
WASHINGTON -- Representative John Tierney said he plans to vote tomorrow in favor of the health care legislation being pushed by President Obama, meaning most of the Massachusetts delegation will be pushing for its passage.
"Everything we've been looking at seems to breaking right," Tierney, a Salem Democrat who had previously been undecided, said in an interview this afternoon. Representative Stephen F. Lynch, a South Boston Democrat, is planning to vote against the package, resisting pressure from the president, union officials, and Vicki Kennedy.
Representative Michael Capuano, a Somerville Democrat, has been undecided.
The remainder of the state's House delegation have said they plan to vote for the plan.
