Hensel Phelps awarded $263.7 million NASA contract
WASHINGTON—Hensel Phelps Construction Co. was awarded a NASA contract worth up to $263.7 million to build the mobile launcher for the Constellation program's Ares I rocket, NASA said Thursday.
The Ares I rocket will transport the Orion crew exploration vehicle, its crew and cargo to low-earth orbit for the Constellation space exploration program, which is developing the next-generation vehicle and rockets to go to the moon and later Mars.![]()
