At home in Southampton, Alex plays with his beloved little brother, Roma, who loves Legos, as his mother, Lilia, looks on. At one point soon after his electrodes were turned on, Alex was sprawled on the floor with Roma playing with magnetic Legos, and the magnets apparently managed to turn off his batteries. But a new remote control device allows him to check the batteries’ status and turn them back on if they’re off.
