An archeological project led by Harvard University's Peabody Museum is attempting to find the remains of the Harvard Indian College, established in Harvard's earliest years.
Student Adam Kaplan (left) wheeled a sieve screen toward a series of archeological holes dug in an attempt to find 17th century relics from the Indian College. In Harvard's earliest years, the Indian College was the only brick building on a campus now famous for brick. (Globe Staff Photo / David L. Ryan)
