Controversy over MLK memorial in Washington
The memorial to the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. opened yesterday in Washington on the National Mall. The statue, built by Chinese artist Lei Yixin, has caused some controversy. Critics are upset that a Chinese artist was chosen for the project, and others say the statue does not look like the late civil rights leader.
