Couples try to find $20K diamond ring in Boston's Diamond Dash
Today on Boston Common, couples vied for the chance at a $20,000 diamond engagement ring as part of the second Boston Diamond Dash. Designed as a scavenger hunt, the couples got clues on their cell phones about the ring's exact location.
Some 700 people were expected to participate, according to event organizers.
Boston.com's Alexa McMahon was on the scene and sent some photos from the race's starting line. At left, the scavenger hunters prepared for the race to begin.
