Cleveland's WOIO-TV reported that police found a suicide letter Ariel Castro wrote in 2004, in which he said he was a sexual predator in need of help.

A reporter obtained a copy of the letter, in which Castro said the women were being held against their will because they made the "mistake of getting in a car with a stranger." He also said he wanted to kill himself and give the money he had saved to his victims.
