Google search bar gives nod to gay marriage rulings

The Supreme Court struck down the Defense of Marriage Act, making way for married gay couples to be eligible for federal benefits. The court also cleared the way for same-sex marriage in California by holding that defenders of California’s gay marriage ban, known as Prop 8, did not have the right to appeal lower court rulings striking down the ban.
Google recognized these decisions in its search bar:
