Bobby and Jamie Deen, sons of celebrity chef Paula Deen, went on CNN's New Day to fight back against the fallout from their mother's controversy surrounding use of racial slurs that came to light following a deposition in a lawsuit. Bobby Deen claimed that the things being said about his mother are "untruthful" and that it is "an extortion case."

Jamie Deen was asked about a part of the deposition where his mother says she taught him that there can be acceptable situations to use the "N" word, but he responded that the statement is "completely false." For the statement to be completely false, though, his mother would've had to lie in the deposition as well as her apology last week.

Jamie Deen then changed course and said that his mother is very sorry and that she grew up in a different time. So, she did nothing wrong, or she's very sorry? Which one is it?

If Jamie Deen doesn't seem credible after some of these statements, he'd like you to think otherwise. "We don't have lies in us," he said. "The number one thing that we can not stand is someone that is deceitful." Bobby Deen then interjected to say that the "N" word is not in his vocabulary, his brother's vocabulary, or his mother's vocabulary. Still, his mother has already admitted to using the word. If only it were possible that Jamie and Bobby Deen might have a few lies in them, these clips would maybe start to make sense.
