San Francisco City Hall celebrates gay marriage ruling

Alongside yesterday's two Supreme Court rulings that struck down the Defense of Marriage Act and cleared the way for gay marriages to resume in California, Google celebrated with a rainbow-colored search bar.
San Francisco chose to celebrate by lighting City Hall the colors of the rainbow.
Though the decision marks the end of a five-year legal battle in California, gay couples in the state may have to wait for marriage licenses, as backers of the Proposition 8 gay marriage ban have 25 days to ask the Supreme Court to reconsider its decision.
