Three-year-old Grayson Clamp was born deaf, but a new implant gave him the gift of hearing. The young boy’s reaction to hearing the voice of his dad, Len, was priceless. The toddler from Charlotte, N.C., heard his father’s voice for the very first time. "Daddy loves you," Grayson's father said.

The “TODAY” show says the first-of-its-kind procedure is called an auditory brainstem implant, and Grayson is the first child to receive this kind of implant.
