This heartwarming timelapse video shows homeless United States Army veteran Jim Wolf of Grand Rapids, Mich., getting a makeover for Veteran's Day.

Wolf, who struggles with alcoholism and poverty, teamed up with Degage Ministries and filmmaker Rob Bliss to go through an incredible transformation.

“The homeless are people we ignore every day,” Bliss told the Blaze. So he got inspired by the idea that homeless people "can look like they’re meant for the cover of GQ — they have that potential too.”

Wolf didn't see himself throughout the makeover, and when the mirror finally was turned toward him, he said “wow” when he saw his own reflection.

Since the makeover, Wolf was able to secure housing and has begun attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings, according to the Blaze.

Degage Ministries has created a website where people can make donations to help transform lives of other veterans.
