We know times are hard, but this takes robbing a bank to a new, unprecedented level.
One man in south Florida took an innovative approach to making a bank withdrawal last week when he hotwired a nearby forklift and used the powerful vehicle to uproot a Bank of America ATM before loading it into the cab of a waiting getaway pick-up truck.
A local TV station posted a video that showed scenes from the heist's aftermath:
Ironically, the same thief apparently was considerate enough to return the forklift to the nearby construction site from which he stole it — after he no longer needed it, of course.
According to reports, it is unclear how much money was in the ATM, if any.
Like most ideas, this was not a new one, as shown by two actors portraying bumbling ATM thieves in the 2002 film, "Barbershop."
The robbers in the movie eventually got caught by authorities, but will this Florida ATM thief ever be found? Let us know your opinion below.
