Click on this button, then either draw a box or click on the map, to zoom in and view a smaller area. As you zoom in, more information becomes visible, such as street names.
Zoom Out
Click on this button, then click on the map, to zoom out and view a larger area. You can also draw a small box to zoom out a lot, or a large box to zoom out just a bit.
Recenter
Click on this button, then on the map, to pan the map by recentering where you click.
Info
Click on this button, then on a fire, to learn more about that fire.
Find
Click on this button to search for fires, fire stations, or other features. Features that you find will be highlighted on the map, and their information will be displayed within a popup window. You can click on the name of any feature in the popup window and the map will recenter on the feature.
Clear Map
Click on this button to clear highlighted map features.
Reset
Click on this button to restore the original map view.
Update
To see more information, such as schools, check the box next to those items in the legend, and then click on "Update the map." Usually it's better to zoom in first, so the map isn't too crowded. To turn off an item, uncheck it, and then "Update."
