South Station
Emily Crockett made her way down a staircase at South Station after taking a bus from her home in Worcester. The elevator was out of order, and she had to use her cane and the railing to be sure of where her feet would land. Legally blind and partially paralyzed from brain tumors in her childhood, she faced the task of building a mental map of the Harvard campus before classes begin.
