Lives Lost maps: Challenges and cures

Childhood diseases

Three million young lives are saved each year through immunization programs that target the six major vaccine-preventable childhood diseases — diphtheria, measles, polio, whooping cough, tetanus, and tuberculosis. Immunization coverage is indicative of the quality of health care within a country. This map shows average coverage rates for the three vaccines that immunize against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough, measles, and polio.
