AMHERST, N.H. (AP) — Police say icy, snowy weather and speed contributed to a vehicle collision along Route 101 in Amherst, N.H., that injured three people.
Police said a pickup truck crossed over the yellow line and into the westbound travel lane early Tuesday, where it struck a westbound sport utility vehicle.
Both occupants of the pickup, along with the driver of the SUV suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals. The driver was the only person in the SUV.
Route 101 was shut down for about four hours as police investigated the crash.
Snow falling Monday night contributed to a number of road accidents. Many areas saw at least 2 inches of snow.
