CONCORD, N.H. (AP) — Heavy wet snow has caused slippery roads and scattered power outages in parts of Maine and New Hampshire.

More than 1,300 outages have been reported in New Hampshire by Sunday evening, and less than 1,000 are without power in Maine.

Some locations in New Hampshire are under a winter storm warning, and the snow is expected to continue into the evening.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning, with a total of 6 to 10 inches expected in southern and central Maine.

Also in Maine, the speed limit on the Maine Turnpike has been reduced to 45 mph because of the snow.end of story marker
