If you’re not a fan of wet weather, you might want to stay inside for a while. Some serious rain is making its way into the area and you won’t be seeing a dry day until next week.

At least some showers are in the forecast for every day through Sunday, with a storm system that caused major flooding in Florida moving north toward New England. Flood warnings have already been issued in some southern Massachusetts counties.

The frustration of heavy rain will be helped somewhat by more seasonal temperatures. The air should feel warmer as soon as Thursday, with May kicking off and the high temperatures projected to be in the 60’s.

The extended forecast is showing that we might finally be able to enjoy that combination of sunshine and warm temperatures on Monday of next week. Keep your fingers crossed.
