The Perfect Storm

The "No Name Storm" on Oct. 30, 1991 -- made even more famous by the Sebastian Junger book and the Hollywood movie entitled "The Perfect Storm" -- was both destructive and tragic. Towering waves crashed onto the South Shore and the North Shore, destroying many homes like this one in Hull. It also brought tragedy to Gloucester, as high seas out on the Atlantic swamped the Gloucester-based fishing vessel Andrea Gail, taking the lives of six fishermen.
