Countries around the world have offered aid to the US in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

A worker for Magan David Adom (MDA), the Israel ambulance service, prepared bottled water as part of a 15-ton aid shipment for victims of Hurricane Katrina being put together in Tel Aviv. An Israeli Defense Forces delegation, led by the army's chief medical officer, will depart the Jewish state tonight to coordinate the delivery of Israeli aid to New Orleans.
