Cuban President Fidel Castro put more than 1,500 doctors equipped with medical supplies on display in Havana Sunday in hopes of persuading the US to allow them to treat victims of Hurricane Katrina. As of Tuesday, the US had not accepted the offer. Cuba has on several occasions turned down US offers of assistance after disasters.
