About the author

David Epstein has been a professional meteorologist and horticulturalist for three decades. David spent 16 years at WCVB in Boston and currently freelances for WGME in Portland, ME. In 2006, David founded GrowingWisdom.com, a business producing educational and marketing videos for the green industry. He currently is a meteorology professor at Framingham State College and teaches a January Program at Colby College. He owns a landscape design business, Bloomscapes Inc. Epstein authored a book called "Gardens of New England." Epstein's work was published in Grolier's Science Annual for 10 years.
